  • @zzhomeboy1 - bout time someone says the right shit... All these people probably couldnt even lift that weight hence why theyre wacthin someone else do it...

  • So many comments asking what's the point??? I suggest u guys google negative bench press and read up on it, maybe u will understand why... But this man is doing what he supposed ti do to get his bench up without a spotter.. And to see him lifting up the weight like that is pretty impressive.. You guys should give him props instead of giving bad comment..

  • The way you racked that weight back deserved a video of its own!

  • Wow. So many things are wrong with this. No spotter, breaks between negatives, you excessively use your back as leverage (especially when moving weight back up), why in the living room, its obvious its too much weight for you. Don't be a jackass, do less weight and maybe youll still have a back in 2 years.

  • Great fuckin form man even on the lift back up to the rack. Kudos

  • Jw, what is the point of this? Im trying to get 315X3 by the end of school (Im a senior =D) and was wondering what this does.

  • AWESOME NEGATIVES!!!!

  • Im not hating or anything but how does this have effect? And is that the equivalent to doing 205 I might try this

  • strong bro!

  • Nice, Looking strong. keep up the good work!

  • WHAT THE FUCKING POINT?????????

  • @cybertronx1701

its a technique that can largely increase the intensity of the excercise

  • damn, nice lift when racking the bar. looks painful on the arms lol

  • if i were to do negative bench press. would i be able to bench more weight in 2-3 months?

  • thats good but my dad was able to do one positive 405 weighing in at 190

  • @REAPER0096

Thanks bro - I hit 410 lbs a few months back for a full rep (vid's posted). Hopefully there is more to come.

  • @BRETZERR does this increase your bench alot?

  • @luv3z2p00p

It's just one of many tools to try and slowly progress in the bench press. I don't do them often as they can lead to overtraining rather quickly if you are not careful.

  • the way you put the bar is un fucking real, top notch stuff man

  • @swanseajack1

Thanks bro - I appreciate that. I have done 570 lbs this way (Zercher) before - the vid's posted on my channel if you want to check it out.

  • the negative reps are good!!! but the way you return the bar is really good!! almost like a 405 front squat.

  • @chdeaa

Yeah, that would be a zercher squat. I have done 570 lbs that way....the vid is posted somewhere.

Thanks for the comments bro - much appreciated.

  • Sweet vid, gonna try negatives this week...I can max a little over 300, any thoughts on what I should do on negs?

  • Thanks bro - I appreciate that. Start at 350 lbs and go from there. You want to be able to control the weight on the way down....

  • Thanks for posting, do you really find the negatives to help increase your bench? Do you do it often?

  • I think negatives are good to do every once in awhile to mix things up a bit (like twice a year). Since I started doing the reverse-band bench, this has sort of been dropped because the reverse-bands give you the benefit of having a heavy negative but you can also power the weight up for the concentric motion as well. But I will still probably work in some negatives a couple of times a year, just for something different.

    Thanks again for the comment.

  • wow....hey buddy i recommend you get some spotters help you lift the bar because you can injure yourself like that

  • Thanks man...I was just messing around here. 4 plates isn't that much weight to lift in this fashion bro (I have done as much as 570 lbs - vid's posted). But thanks for the concern.

  • god i hate when people tell me to get spotters or tell me ill hurt myself....god.

tell that to the people wearing gear hahaha.s

  • @rctriplefresh5 you need spotters cause you are a little pussy who thinks he's tough as

  • does that build alot of strength??? im looking for something to build up my power. i have a 340 bench i need 360 to win my bench contest around home i have a month to train, looking for help. good job by the way. looking good

  • Thanks bro...I don't know of anything that will add 20 lbs to your max in one month bro...sorry. Maybe 6 months to a year...but not one month.

This is one of many things that I do to help slowly increase my strength. But it takes time...

    Good luck bro.

  • good shit man. nice arms man looks like your rockin some 17s or so?

  • Thanks bro...not sure...never measured them...

  • did the weght bounce off your chest at the end of th rep?

  • Yeah, a little bit on that last rep (I was getting tired!). lol

  • Yeah, thanks...I'll keep that in mind....

  • Awesome Strength Brother!!

  • Thanks man...I hit a 550 lb Zercher like this the other week...the vid's posted.

  • Your f*ckin swole. How tall are you man?

  • I am what? I am 5'10".

  • haha swole. Bodybuilding term. Short for swollen...buff. It's a compliment haha

  • Oh...lol...thanks bro.

  • hehehe is that your kid?

  • Yeah...he's a little monkey...

  • I've been doing negative reps with a couple of exercises lately, and i've seen considerable results, awesome

  • Thanks for the comment...

  • hey buddy how u do negative , but whut exactly is a negative rep? u choose a weight that u can only go down but not com eback up?

  • I negative rep is simply the eccentric phase of a lift. Google it and you will have more than enough to read on the subject. Thanks for the comment...

  • Best zercher squat video I have seen in a while!

  • Thanks man...I appreciate the comment.

  • Agree with everyone's comment about the zercher ... I was like *yawn* this video is going to be long if he shows himself taking off the plates to *WTF THAT'S AWESOME*

  • That's funny bro...great comment.

  • dood that was sick! i'm gonna try this out tomorrow muahahaha it looks cool.

but i'm NOWHERE as strong as you, respek!

  • Thanks bro...good luck.

  • I do like your re-rack method.. but what I do, is deadlift it back up onto the top rack.. gives me an extra deadlift with a good amount of weight after each lift/eccentric.

  • Sounds interesting...although, I think I will stick to my method. Thanks for the idea though...

  • Strong! I've never thought about doing a zercher to rerack, now I gotta try it!

    Stay Strong!

  • Good luck - I am just too lazy to take the weights off, that's all. Thanks for the comment.

  • Awesome training bro!

  • Thanks man...I appreciate it.

  • Dude, the 405lb for negatives was awesome, but you unintentionally some extremely beast display of power when you lifted that on the rack, I was like "holy shit" LOL

  • did some*

  • How did it go?

  • Yeah, that's funny...I have had more responses about me re-racking the weight than the actual exercise itself! And really, it is just because I am too lazy to unload the weight to lift it back up...

Either way, it was a good workout! Thanks for the comment...

  • When I wrote "did some" that was me correcting myself from my typo LOL I'm nowhere near that level to try 405lb for negatives. But yeah dude, re-racking the weight was a true display of strength, I would lose a nut and snap my back trying to get that up there lol

  • LOL...thanks bro...

  • strong, strong

  • Thanks Dario - it was a good finish to my workout...although, my back and arms were just as sore as my chest! It's all good though...

  • Thanks bro..

  • LOL dude that was pretty cool! I think the heaviest Zercher squat video I saw was some guy doing like 600+ I think. That be a good goal to shoot for! lol

  • Sounds good to me...I have never done a Zercher squat before, so I will look into it once I hit 400 lbs on the bench...should be fun.

  • Nice zercher squat video.Randy you may have a new exercise for your vids.I pretty sure I couldn't do that without breaking my back.

  • Just too lazy to reload the plates my friend...lol...

  • Yeah that squat to put it back up looked hard. I do not think I could do that. You made that look easy.

  • You can do it Cyrus...you may even be able to cheat curl it!

  • holy freakin zercher squat!!! never tried em but that has to hurt!

  • I haven't tried zercher squats either...just too lazy to reload the plates! Funny enough, my back and chest are equally sore today...lol.

  • You DO realize the Zercher box squats you did with the 405 was the most impressive thing in this video, right? :)

  • Thanks man...yeah, unfortunately that is the only way to do negatives without reloading the weight (without spotters)...and I am too lazy to take the plates off! It was a fun set...
