I have had many clients tell me they felt rushed through the process of getting prescriptions. For my clients that need meds because it is that serious, I recommend they not be afraid to find the psychiatrist right for them. If they are not feeling okay about the service they are getting, I suggest they continue to look for the right fit.
I don't recommend people anymore but if I hear a specific person's name several times, in a positive way, I will pass along their info.
Shrinks are dangerous people, no matter how sweet they seem, they will prescribe several drugs to you after a 10 minute convo and you won't know what that combo of drugs will do over time. You can wind up having a psychotic break, do something totally wild or you can hallucinate and get hooked on any drug. You could become suicidal or murder someone. I know now to keep away at all costs from shrinks no matter what.
Dr's don't care. He isn't the only Dr out there that has done this. I have been thru a similar experience and they don't care. They are paid ! Plain and simple!
No he probably did not do any research on his girlfriends medicine. I see Dr. Hege myself and he is a damn good psychiatrist. He cares genuinely for ALL his patients and would NEVER put someone in jeopardy like described in here. Not trying to say this guy is lying, but Hege has gone over every prescription he has ever given me. I get Subutex from him as well as anti-anxiety meds but he knows well enough to NEVER prescribe something like Xanax or a benzo with such a strong narcotic like Subutex
Hope your girlfriend found her right fit. Glad she survived.

We all assume psychiatrists, because they are doctors, actually have ethics.
You may also want to make note of Dr. Mark Frye, a psychiatrist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (and visit ABILIFY KILLS at YouTube).
I'm so sorry for your experience with Dr. Hege.

There are doctors who are paid to prescribe meds - - hefty sums - - they put profit before the health of their patients.

What was the medication? Did you do any research on it yourself before taking it?
