Wonderful melody and great pictures from Central and Eastern Europe before the destruction between 1939-89. Indeed Prince Nicholas of Rumania and Marshal Pilsudske were some of the greatest European personalities of this time.

Ich finde die Platte wunderbar! Ein wirklich nett gespielter schöner Foxtrot. Back in NY and enjoying some good tunes I missed. This is a charming song and I remembered it immediately from a previous post by G, also with H. Gold but with Faliszewski. Both versions are beautiful. Interesting that H. Gold recorded two versions. Lovely Romanian side show.

D.: the label of the original Syrena record with Faliszewski does not bear the name of H.Gold as a chief of the orchestra. He was then on exclusive basis a musical director and conductor at Columbia (present recording).

Engaged by Syrena back not earlier than 1936.

The charming Rumanian women Tauti Vusoreanu and Lillian Delescu - Miss Rumania 1932 and Miss Rumania 1933. It is very interesting how they managed the subsequent time. I couldnt find it out in Internet. Have they survived the WWII, the Russian occupation, the communist regime?
