  • @khloodlover1989 Lundgren himself said he weight trained 6 days a week, 2 hours a day for 6 months to prepare for Rocky IV. I think a day of rest helps, but its not mandatory.

  • @MattyIsCool96 No, I don't think u get any bicep workout from this.The different pressups works your shoulders, triceps and chest muscles...and maybe forearms. The ab exercises works your abs obviously. And you get a pretty good lower back workout aswell. This upper body part lacks biceps and upper back workout.

  • @MattyIsCool96 But buy yourself a pull-up bar to attach btw a door opening and you will have a top notch back and biceps workout tool. These upper body exercises that Dolph using in the video plus using that pullup bar are the only things you need to get a great upper body.

  • To be able to do all those 5 different push-ups correct and in a row, I think you have to be very fit. I have been doing these upper body-part, with push-up handles I might add which probably make it a little harder, and I have never been even close to complete all the 5 sets without resting for a minute or two, after the 2nd or the 3rd set.

  • This excerise routine, I think, is actually very good (even though you are gonna feel a little sour in the morning :) ). I have started to do this instead of the disco gym workout I used to do before. I highly recommend it, both the lower and the upper part. My problem exercisetype is the push-up with narrow grip. Feels like my shoulders are a little weak for my body weight. You have to be in pretty damn good condition to do all these exercises as good as Dolph and the other guys do them.

  • @Ol0fsson Yeh that narrow grip is quite tough at first but gets easier as you do them more often, this routine of his does seem to work

    Yes, I am usually doing the narrow grip push-up by having the index fingers not quite closed to each other. That way it becomes considerably easier and I might manage all 5 sets in a row. :)

  • @Ol0fsson Thats a good call their to get all sets done, my routine before seeing this workout video was 40 reps of normal grip twice a day so the push ups aint a problem for me but trying the wide grip and narrow grip had me muscles burning and it hurt as i never used them before, but its working lol.

  • @Zoidypoo89 iv tried with large position for the arms means u keep ur arms in wild open position and u will start feeling the effects on ur back , at least that worked for me so good luck

  • @hammouminator No offense, but I think that would only be true if you had a really weak back. I don't think anyone who's trained even moderately would feel anything in their backs when doing push-ups

  • @rocky2win Why would cardio make you have huge muscles? That's not the way it works. 300 would be more of a cardio workout than strength/volume training. 300 reps is way too much for building muscles

  • @Zoidypoo89 i didnt say it built a lotta musle i said u can feel the brun in the back n ab even legs after that many , pushups work more thaen chest, (chest, shouldres, abs, tris, even a little legs if u do them right)

  • @rocky2win I doubt that either you or I could do 300 reps of push-ups anyway. Very few people in the world can do 300 strict push-ups in a row. Your chest and triceps would give up far sooner than you would feel any burn in your legs. I don't see any scenario where you would actually feel your legs during that exercise. I can do 50-60 reps (I think), and I'm not anywhere near feeling my legs. And in any case, that's not a good way to build muscles. How did we get into this conversation? O.o

  • @Zoidypoo89 Well you could nt be more wrong lol Dolph is a kyokushin karate fighter like me! And he holds a 4th dan (4th black belt if u didnt know). Point is in a single 1hr and a half lesson i do between 500 to a 1000 push ups, not all of them in a row but my point is thats just a fraction of how we train in a single lesson so 300 push ups to someone who trains like dolph,he wouldnt even break a sweat and my freind has sparred with him in a friendly so stop posting crap you know nothign about!

  • he put weight on for the movies, but usually he's thinner framed. this workout is pretty good, you can really see results after a couple weeks.
