I actually have that same wind up Evil Knievel toy that's in the video. I remember trying to tear up stretch arm strong. And we all took the stickers off the rubix cube. Brought back some memories.

  • this is what you call glam country hahah but still a good song

  • He still looks cheesy... LOL I'm 42 so I relate :)

  • Awesome song. If you can remeber all of this, you are a wise person who has seen it all

  • @scripieboy1991 lol seen it all

  • 70s were boring, 80s were eh kinda boring too, 90s were a little fun. people are always going to think the past was the good old days but I was there & I can tell you it wasn't all that. it was fun but not the glossed over version people portray those decades as.

  • Two things:

    1. The General Lee and Bandit Trans Am are two of the sexiest cars ever made.

    2. I wish he would write a 3rd verse about the 90s. I was born in 1986.

  • Guys, guys, guys.....listen, the 80s and 90s were just like today. Just different fashions and music, and ofcourse the tech was cruder. I was born in the 70s (1975), so I was only partially there, but don't believe what people of my generation tell you kids that things were so perfect back then in the 70s, 80s or 90s. Our Boomer parents told us the same crap about the 1950s and 60s. There is NO SUCH thing as "the good ol' days".

  • what about 1990's something???

  • @lespaulguitarist92 The 90's sucked. LOL

  • Born 1978 baby,.

  • I love this song. I also saw mark wills in ashland , ky in 2010. I was proud to be up front when he came off stage and shook my hand. GREAT CONCERT! ;b

  • i was born in the 90's. my mom would be proud that im now a serial rapist

  • born in 94 but wish i could go back to the 60s-80s were music was so much better than it is today

  • Loved this song when it first came out and still do! Still completely in love with the 69 Charger too! GENERAL LEE!

  • this is a good song

  • ima write one for my generation it was 2000 something

  • @thisolcowboy21 Oh yes, the great days of 2000...

  • What i love is he says: Oh man did i look cheesy but i wodnt trade those daaays ferr nothin oh it was 19' somethin" I love Mark Wills & i was born in 1999 Dont think thatcounts as a !9 somethin kid lol but oh wel still love the song

  • 1996 i wish i was born in the 19 somthins haha and raised, not having to worry about the next 9-11 ...pft. wish i had a time machine... :/

  • @ICantHoldBack In the 80s they scared the hell out of us with world war 3 & the USSR thinking we were going to be bombed & the world was going to end, you guys have 9/11 we had to worry about being incinerated with nukes.

  • @Anglynn74 i'm sorry but this comment is retarded,"you guys have 9/11"like it's a good thing..i'm an 80's bby and a proud combat vet.your comment just erked me, you sound like a hippie...oh n I LOVE THIS SONG

  • @ayalajangel Try paying attention to what I was responding to & stop reading into something that isn't there. I'm almost 40, hardly a "hippie". I lived in the area of 9/11, saw it in person & my cousin died in tower 1 on the 92nd floor, no one said it was a good thing, your comment is insulting, I didn't know I had to spell it out in detail for everyone, if you saw what I was responding to you might not be clutching your pearls so tightly.

  • I totally lived this song.

  • OMG! YA IM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO THINK HE IS HOT!

  • 1992

  • Also, for those of you who think technology is a bad thing, you should listen to Brad Paisley's song Welcome To The Future. It really shows the benefit of electronics.

  • What a perfect song for kids who brag about growing up in the 90's. They're such a self-obsessed generation who thinks they're the only ones who ever grew up. I can't stand when they're always bitching about how kids today have different toys than the ones they had. Clearly times change, along with toys. I always have to remind them that they weren't the first generation to ever live...that there were others before them who also played with different toys. This song would help them accept that.

  • @KyleWebs The truth I feel bad for kids today. Because they really are missing out on alot. Meaning all they do is sit inside and play video games or go online or text! When I was a child all the kids on my block would be outside until it got dark! We would play tag, riding bikes, climb trees and alot of other stuff that kids don't do these days. I like to take walks and I can tell you I dont never see kids outside anymore. Maybe 1 or 2 but that's it and I live in a safe area! Its sad but true

  • @WHHS2001 Maybe your neighborhood just doesn't have any kids living in it, therefore the amount of kids seen would be a lot lower than the amount seen in an area where many kids live, or maybe you live in a big neighborhood where there is nothing for them to do versus, say, a small town with a woods and lake....just a theory. They're still having fun and enjoying their childhood, just like you did, although it is different than yours.

  • @KyleWebs What a presumptuous comment from someone who clearly likes to generalize people based on generation and thinks that they are from a better generation than kids who grew up in the 90's and decided to act like a pompous tard on youtube. You weren't from the first generation to ever live, get off your high horse. Douche.

  • @channeltocommentwtf do you know what presumptuous means? I didn't generalize anybody. Your entire comment is ridiculous.

  • @KyleWebs

    IT WAS 1990 SOMETHING!!!

the world that we grew up

    pokemon and colored game boys

boy meets world and power ranger toys

look back now i can see me

oh man did we act cheesey

we wouldnt trade those days for nothing

    it was 1990 something

  • @Roxychik006 Yeah, that decade was part of it, but so were others and the song is a great way to show that. (:

  • @KyleWebs what i was trying to point out is that, yea we have a lot of thngs about our decade but thats just cus were proud. i mean you say my generation is self absorbed and we think were the only generation that there ever was but thats not true. we just to the exact same thing makes doing in this vidio and that saying loud and proud WE WERE HERE.

  • @Roxychik006 I have no idea what you failed to say there....

  • @Roxychik006 You...are awesome. :D

  • @KyleWebs "I cant stand kids from the 90's bitching about the toys kids have nowadays"

but I think it is perfectly alright that I can bitch about kids from the 90's being different from my generation.

No hypocrisy there at all is there?

    /endsarcasm

    #youradouchebag

  • @channeltocommentwtf I do not want to argue with you. It isn't a big deal. It is just a comment. The song is great in a way that shows people that it is okay for generations to be different. Why are you so angry?

  • 1995

  • Born in 74 ..:)

  • hes so freaking HOT

  • '94 baby!!!!

  • I was born in the 80's :)

  • hes hot

  • I am a mounth from being an 80s baby :)

  • Born in the 90's, baby.

If I could, I would travel to the 60's, 70's and 80's when they dressed crazy, listened to awesome music, and technology wasn't EVERYTHING.

  • i would never trade my childhood for anything

  • born in 96 wish i was borned in teh 50s and could drive when muscle cars were invented :))))

  • born in 92

  • i ike your miao

  • they should make throwback cars so people from this time period can see how amazing muscle cars are.

  • I was born in 98 and me and my grampa and I,devoted the last 3 tears to finding the right car from the 70's or 60's

  • THIS SONG NEEDS SOME TRANS AM BURN OUTS WTF!

  • Everything he talks about is from my time period :)

  • 1997 :P

  • This song is my whole life so far cuz I'm only ten

  • this song brings back memories, when me and my cousins would get togather for the holidays, brian was born in may,me in june, and jeff in august 1971,craig,in december1973,and mike in april 1975,and my sister in feb1977,and cousin kevin in 1977

  • I was born 1990. The 90s wasn't that bad, but it could have been like it was in the 70s. 2000s needs a blast from the past.

  • wish i was born bout 30 years before i was

  • that is my FAVORITE song <3

  • thumbs up if daisy duke was your first love.

  • I was born in '94.. wish i was growin up in the 40's where everyone was happy, and people meant what they said!! These days everyone's so dang selfish! Good ta see i'm not the only teenager who realizes this.

  • @americanferever Hell no you aint lol. Thank god somebody realizes it.

  • @americanferever

The 40's? for crying out loud 1939-1945 was World war 2, Your family could be out in war . ( obviously not everyone was happy)

  • @LilAngel4Life7 Before the war man. And i would have been damn proud to serve my country then, too. I'm still joining when i turn 18 in January.

  • @americanferever In the 40s? what the fuck are you stupid that was World War 2 and the end of the Great Depression. Yeah I'm sure you would've loved the 40s WHEN YOU WERE IN EUROPE.

  • @ThisIsMyAnime LOL yeah and the 70's was Nam. I missed going to Vietnam by 4 years. I went and registered for the draft when I was 18, I would have gone. Every night on the news was the Vietnam war for about 8 years. The cuban missle crisis too, wow I remeber that...Nukes going to Cuba or as Kenedy said Cuber.

  • @americanferever..... i love ur prespective on life...im the same way i wish people would stick to wat the say and actully mean it(sorry for my bad spelling)

  • @americanferever born same year. I'd go back to the late 60s early 70s

  • @americanferever same here i was born in 94 and agree exactly with what you said

  • @americanferever you aent the only one that wish he grew up 40s and i mean what i say and if it offends people to bad someone has to say it

  • AHHH! JUSTIN BEIBER AD! I came here to listen to a great song, not him.

  • The General Lee baby.

  • now i feel too young

  • Funny how everyone wants to live in the 70's and brag about how good it was, today you are sitting here able to tell everyone that without ever mailing that information to a letter, there you sit behind a monitor and tell it all the whole world. It is because YOU ARE NOT living in 1970something. Fact. I wished I lived in 2070something.

  • @Axmedkoole Bravo! Exactly what I am thinking. Listen I love the 80s and 90s, I was born in 1975 and I grew up as an 80s kid and spent the rest of my growing up high school and college years in the 90s. They were both great times, but there is no way I want to go back to those days. And I'm glad I really don't remember the 70s well, other then the Dukes of Hazzard and CHIPs it seemed like a crappy decade. The best time to live is always now. And hell yes, bring on the 2070s.

  • Sexy cars, I was born is 93 and I missed out on all the nice cars. All this plastic cars they make now are nothing.

  • @rebelboy22jd

yeah, i agree with ya there... i wanna drive a monster truck over all those hybrid pieces of shit...

  • TRANS-AM AND THE GENERAL LEE! PHWEW, ANYBODY WANNA HELP ME BUILD A TIME MACHINE?!

  • nice looking cars,

  • Born in 74'

  • I want to live in the 70s, :(

  • yeehaw! gotta love the General Lee at the beginning! I was born in the wrong generation

  • it was 1970 somethin in the world i grew up in

  • born 1997.... love watching the old homevideos from back then

  • I think about what it was like when my parents were my age, 14, and how much the world has changed, whats it gonna be like when im there age?

  • I was born in 20 somethin'..... I wanna live in the 1970's! :(((((

  • Being born in '72, this song is my life. My mom cried like a baby when Elvis died. I remember the day the space shuttle fell from the sky. Just like the song, I have a mortgage and two suvs. It brings back all kind of memories every time I hear it!!!

    LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!

  • born in `92 so its 19 somethin'

  • Comment removed

  • 95'

  • born on '92 ...... so it's 1990 something .....

  • 19 something were the glory years!! i was born in 99 but still

  • Oh, and, "Life is a Highway" was already written. WHERE is the originality? This is so, so bad.

  • The stuff they put inside Stretch Armstrong has more talent than this cheesy fool

  • This video is such a memory blast.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! :) :) :)

  • Everytime he mentions the space shuttle... It's makes me sad.. The 1986 Challenger exploded in mid-take off because of an fuel tank O-ring.. Everyone on board was killed instantly.. Saddest day for a lot of people.

  • @dbrandinni duh

  • @dbrandinni No they weren't. They actually were alive all the way down falling 48,000 ft out of the sky. Their air supply had been engaged and they had been using it 2 minutes and 35 seconds, which was the exact time the disintegration happened and the time they hit the water. They did not die instantly.

  • 96'

  • 93'

  • 1:44 that part is so joke i used to do that to my mom xD

  • 1992 ;)

  • i was born in 1994 and sure as i wish i grew up in 1970 somethin!!! back when family meant something and technology wasnt what life consisted of! i belong in 1970 something

  • @wickidtwiztid9

I was born in 1981, but believe me, I think most of us all feel we were born about 20 years too late

  • @wickidtwiztid9

I know what you mean but back in 1996 when i was born technology wasnt everything it was just getting started! But it's all about how far you let it control your life! YOu can be like most ppl and just have a cell phone to have it in case u need it or u can be like most ppl these days & live off of it. It's all up to us and how we choose to use things

  • @wickidtwiztid9 I was born in 1964 so I grew up in the 1970s! I have to say it was much better than it is now!

  • @wickidtwiztid9 I agree with you. Yes, I may be one who's world revolves around technology, but unlike most people in our age group, I'd be able to hold my own in any year between 1950-2000. Know why? Parents got ALOT of 80s movies. I know alot about that time period, believe or not, from video games as well. So, I'd be able to survive. Most teens wouldn't last a day...
