i would think you would be doing a lot better than high 11s with nos, also maybe it was the driver for being a little slow on the take off...sorry mid 11s had to watch again...big ups to cecil county raceway....new castle here
Car is off the road now doing a nasty turbo build.. But ran the nitrous for over a year with no problems.. As long as it's setup and tuned right it's pretty safe stuff.. Was fun while I had it but I want that kind of power all the time, without having to worry about running out and my bottle pressure.. It's getting expensive too, atleast in my area (Philly).. But bang for the buck u can't beat it! Hope to have vids of the new setup soon! Shooting for 800+ hp!
Zd302gt: best advise is get a window switch (I use zex) so it fires between 3600 min if u still have the imrc's still in, they open at 3500 rpm and have it stop spraying around 6500 and get it on a dyno with a superchips or something similar chip that u can get multiple tunes.. N/A and ur nos tunes.. The tuner will watch ur a/f and take timing out as needed.. Do that and u can spray all day long with no issues.

Very impressive run, I also have a 98 vortech supercharged and every imaginable suspension upgrade, 373 gears and tuned that puts down 426rwhp but I really suck at the 60ft my best ever with Nittos DR is 2.2 Best ever time at the track launching at 3500rpm is 13.3 @ 109 but my best with a G-tech is 12.6 @ 114 with a 1.9 60ft so I think the adrenalin at the track has a lot to do with it, but the fact is I still suck at the 60ft time, so it must be all about the driver; any suggestions? ur RWHP?
Thanx I was happy with that run.I used to run the nittos at the track (315s) I actually snapped an oem axle with those.then rebuilt my rear with 31spine so I could really launch it.best advise would be get a pair of MT slicks, put about 15psi in them, and launch that f-er at 5grand.. make sure ur rear is done if your launching anything over 3-4 grand (just to be safe) if u have adjustable shocks.loosen them up. and speed shift! never take ur foot off the gas! my car had 415rwhp at that event..
@GUSTAVOEROD ur having big traction issues if thats the case i was cutting 1.70 60 fts with 315 drs and only dynoed 320rwhp and 340rwtq and 12.5 @112 in 1/4 i sent my video
cars runs strong man, i've been trying to get my dads 98 cobra running good at the track my best is 13.8 with 4.10's, Bassani longtube's, slp catted x, slp catback, JLT cold air, and 10.5" nitto drags also been tuned.. i feel like it should be running alot better any suggestions? check out my video's of "Grim Reaper" thats his car the runs are pretty solid i just don't get it.
Love ur dads car.. sounds great.. when u car was tuned what power did it put down? u should be atleast low 13s no prob with that setup.. whats ur 60" with that 13.8? u def should be getting lower times then that..
thanks a bunch, the final numbers i believe were 316 hp.. not sure what the tq was, and i was expecting at LEAST 13.5's out of it and i can barely get a 13.7, i'll have to dig up the timeslips for the 60 ft, but unless there's somethin im not doin right or maybe the clutch is slipping but it doesn't sound or feel like it in the car.

Your dads car should be running alot better then that...My 98 ran a 13.6 with 3.55 catted X and a slp catback on hoosiers 275/40/17 tires with a slipping clutch
Thanx for the comment.. mods are basically every bolt on.. intake, t/b, electric water pump, pulleys, bbk longtubes, dr.gas X pipe, flowmasters,fidanza clutch 4.3 & alum flywheel, 31spline axles,4.10s. my suspension is not setup for drag, Im more into handling. Springs are road racing.. just finished tubular K member install for that race.. and some ugly slicks.. that New GT was pretty fast.. had vortech ran 12.2 @ 116.. those new 3vs are great engines..

Haha don't worry the taillights gone! The new turbo combo should be done by summer! Dumped alot of money into the drivetrain oh and new taillights
