  • I just finished watching this in Social Studies class yesterday. This is one of my favorite parts. I can not get this song out of my head :)

  • 14 people where red coats

  • i love the movie i finished wattching it is social studies

  • Sons of Liberty -- no apostrophe. Remember kids: apostrophe shows ownership of something (Washington's horse) or to contract two words together (You're a Son of Liberty).

  • @TheGooblaster not really, sarah palin is very smart, and I think that we would be lucky to have her as a president! :)

  • @SailingSurgeon22: We won't have time for another normal election. If you really want to know what is going on watch this:

    watch?v=NGdZmnM5jPQ

    ps. Johnny is so cute!!!

  • @SailingSurgeon22 yeah me to somthing needs to happen to get the dictator out

  • read anthem its a great book wrote by ayn rand. the creator of objectivism.

  • @zleverette love that book

  • "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

"A little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical...It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government." -- Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States (1801–1809)

  • lmao my social studies teacher made us watch this

  • Americans can no longer leave the country without paying taxes back to the US for ten years. Foreign govs will no longer give any preference to Americans, in fact, they are doing just the opposite because of this new law. In effect, we are trapped here. See for yourself, look up new ex-patriot taxation. YOU are now a prisoner of your own country! US Government OWNS YOU, just like property. US only country to imprison its population this way.

  • Bullshit, that applies to people who still technically work for a company in United States and live abroad. Even then you can write off up to 90K a year or something like that. If you leave the country you might get your assets and retirement vehicles taxed, but if you permenantly leave you wont be taxed, because you're no longer a citizen. Oh, and many other countries have expatriate taxes as well. Canada is one of them.

  • i love this song my history teacher made us watch this and the whole class wanted to start here when we got farther then this.

  • We just watched this movie in American History. I really liked it! And I really like this song! We have to sing it in Chour.(:

    "Fight for the Liberty Tree!"(:

  • Samuel Adams with his Sons of Liberty tossed British tea into the Boston Harbor rather than be subjected to a despotic tax of 3 pence per pound. Sam Adams was the first which stood up against British tyranny. Thomas Jefferson characterized Adams as "truly the Man of the Revolution".

,,The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule'' -Samuel Adams

  • @TheGooblaster .......

Sarah Palin was not in Johnny Tremain.

    I find your comment irrelevant.

  • I always thought it would be funny of the band from the american pavilion played this and marched over to England and dumped some tea in their fountain

  • This song gets old after a while but it is a very good song. And walt disney is a very very talented Man i hope he is haveing a nice time in heaven!!! this song changed our country forever that is why we are the greatest nation in the world

  • Ah, American history as taught by Walt Disney! What wonderful memories. Bless you, Walt.

  • GOD BLESS US

  • God bless Walt Disney! I would have never appreciated what the Revolutionary War was all about had it not been for "Johnny Tremain" and "The Swamp Fox".

  • NEVER pay what they're asking boys, NEVER PAY THE TYRANT'S FEE! Never give up the struggle boys, fight for the liberty tree!

  • Why is it so cetchy?! DARN YOU MR.CROWDER! You will forever have this song stuck in my head!

  • I love this song, and especially love the music of the drums and flute playing in the beginning of the song b4 they start singing.

  • I haven't heard really good hard rock for a long time, and these guys are totally rock. Their free album called "Brush Fire of the Mind" is amazing! They give it away for free, and ask for a donation if you like it. Its probably some of the best rock I have heard for a long time. They also talk about freedom which America seems to be lacking these days. Its absolutely worth the download, if you like rock and metal, you will not disappointed. AAA+ thanx for the music.guys.

  • so when are we gonna do this??????

  • The song is actually called "The Liberty Tree." Also, "sons of liberty" shouldn't have an apostrophe. Anyway, thank you very much for putting this up. I love old musicals like this.

  • Happy 4th!

  • i saw this on the last day of school yesterday and its wuz awsome! i love old movies.

  • @DWRisSWAGGER7 same here! everyone said that the movie stunk- but i loved it! :)

  • George Washington was not a deist. I personally believe with everything in me that not only was this country founded on Christianity, but God intervened specifically to allow this country to come alive. Atheism and progressivism will never defeat the true nature of this country's people -- although they're doing a great job tearing down our moral fiber.

  • @nottsmattlee You're a piece of fresh dogshit. go fuck yourself.

  • @loonmaniac Good reply. I'm glad you put a lot of thought into what you wanted to say.

  • @nottsmattlee Thanks, cockboy. I hope you develop testicular and anal cancer on the same day.

  • @loonmaniac That wouldn't go over very well when I have to go fuck myself. So what would you like me to do; fuck myself or get anal/ testie cancer?

God bless you and your right to say what you want ;)

  • @loonmaniac @loonmaniac Good reply. I'm glad you put a lot of thought into what you wanted to say.

  • @xoValentinoxo

this song has been stuck in my head for 8 years now!

  • why dose everyone i know dosen't like johnny tremain?

  • I believe THIS SONG is about to enjoy a very strong RESURGENCE! THANKS to whoever posted it, you have no idea how much I enjoy this. I am about to get to the point wee I down bawl my eyes out every time I hear it - but that is good, because it always prevented me from joining in as I listened!

Thank you, Walt, and I am sorry for what has happened to the pale shreds of the shell that you built so carefully.

  • some peple believe it was just a few that commited the Boston tea party... it was the entire town... they even used ships to block the East India Trade Co in the harbor...

  • @DinkiDidog you commie, anti-American, liberal.

  • we watched this in school and now the whole class hums and whistles it in class!!! AHHHHHHH

  • This song is great - has the Spirit of our Founding Fathers in it. If you think it is corny, try singing it out loud.

Walt was a true patriot, and he made many valuable contributions to our history.

Thank you so much to all who put up a piece of this movie for us all.

  • makes me proud to be an american.
