I watched this movie in History two years ago and was singing it two years later in my history class. And we were talking about the Mongols. xD So unrelated.
watched this movie in US History class about a week ago, made me realized something. Those people fight and die for our independence, our right, our freedom and some people just dont care!
I hate people who live in America and dont even care on what people before them did and if it wasn't for them those people wouldn't even be here it makes me sick
i watched this in social studies one of the greatest songs i have ever heard about America Revolutionary War me and some of my friends started singing this in the hallways after class then u see teachers and other ppl joining in it was funny
that was after the tea party march 5 idk if thats exact date and samuel adams its the leader of the sons of liberty they are patriots against the king and there was a traitor his name was benedict arnold he turn into loyalist because he married a chick she was a loyalist and the loyalist are with the king and thats from georgia in the first continental congress georgia didnt went because there were affraid of the king
This is a historical fiction movie. Johnny Tremain didn't really exist. But with the war between the 1700s and 1800s (can't remember), dumping the tea in the sea and all that other stuff, it actually happened.
Hey barbosa what ever you face is why don't you shut the h to the up and remember that without Americas help u wouldn't be a country and also that might be true but remember your only mad at America because your ruled by England and America is free from fighting for what we believed in so stop blaming America for your countries problems and go kiss the queens butt for that's what you do in canada!!!! ( Not trying to blame Canada I just hate when people cuss at America the FREE Country)
i live in america dude... i wasn't saying anything bad about america, i was correcting somebody who didn't understand a tax America applies to people who have dual citizenship with other countries.
@maureenOWW It's fiction, and everyone knows it. Why would they sing after commiting a crime? They weren't stupid... atleast, I hope they weren't that stupid o.O
wonder what the 15 dislikes have against it. Probably believe the left stories of how America was really founded by non-gun owning socilaites who only loved other whites.
I would love to see a re-enactment of this every 4th of July at Disney World! Wouldn't it be great to see the Voices Of Liberty leading a group of colonists to the Liberty Tree and lighting it like they show in the movie, with everyone singing that song?
Sons of Liberty -- no apostrophe. Remember kids: apostrophe shows ownership of something (Washington's horse) or to contract two words together (You're a Son of Liberty).
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
"A little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical...It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government." -- Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States (1801–1809)
Americans can no longer leave the country without paying taxes back to the US for ten years. Foreign govs will no longer give any preference to Americans, in fact, they are doing just the opposite because of this new law. In effect, we are trapped here. See for yourself, look up new ex-patriot taxation. YOU are now a prisoner of your own country! US Government OWNS YOU, just like property. US only country to imprison its population this way.
Bullshit, that applies to people who still technically work for a company in United States and live abroad. Even then you can write off up to 90K a year or something like that. If you leave the country you might get your assets and retirement vehicles taxed, but if you permenantly leave you wont be taxed, because you're no longer a citizen. Oh, and many other countries have expatriate taxes as well. Canada is one of them.
Samuel Adams with his Sons of Liberty tossed British tea into the Boston Harbor rather than be subjected to a despotic tax of 3 pence per pound. Sam Adams was the first which stood up against British tyranny. Thomas Jefferson characterized Adams as "truly the Man of the Revolution".
,,The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule'' -Samuel Adams
I always thought it would be funny of the band from the american pavilion played this and marched over to England and dumped some tea in their fountain
