i remember i couldnt figure out how to beat him like 2 years ago and spent like 4 hrs trying to beat him. now that i know how i lost my disk ( it never ocorred to me to check the internet
thanks for the vid! Never figured you had to use the morph ball during the fight so I got stuck on this boss. Now a couple of years later I'm ready to move on :$
... would anyone else recommend the dark beam on this boss? Due to the way amorbis moves, i would actually opt to use the dark beam here, as it seems kindof hard to miss. even with the dark beam
this boss seems like flaagra from Metroid prime one, where you have to bomb them to cause damage, the get progressively harder, and you get the first suit upgrade with them.
I record ahead and then upload 2 a day. I just beat the Boost Guardian (Whom of which I died to many a time as one would expect) and made a bit more progress before stopping the recording session.
if you want 100% scans then i suggest that you shoot the light crystals with the dark beam and shoot the energy ball things that give the shields with the dark beam as well
For another thing, they aren't one-time scans, don't warn me unless there's something coming up that I can only scan once... And on that note, I've already looked at a website documenting everything in the logbook, as well as specifically noting all of the one-timers, so far I haven't missed any, so I'm good thus far.
Low Quality + Darkness = Ow, my eyes. Hopefully it's still processing when I watched it, though.
I liked this boss, even if it did feel a little recycled. Much more dynamic than in the first prime.
Also, on the light and dark world trope... can't say I'm hugely fond of it, but that's more because designers never seem to make enough use of them. It's always the same "do x in the dark world, and y will change in the light" or "this path is blocked. Go through it in the dark world instead!"
Even though I have never played this game and possibly never will, this is a very enjoyable Let's Play that's brought alot of laughs to me and i bet many others. The game's that you play are always very cool and this is no exception.

amorbis is one of my top 10 favorite bosses, one other being thardus from metroid prime 1.

hey quady, can i have your autograph?

@maconwriter One charged light beam shot breaks the mask of each worm. The light beam is the most effective against all dark world bosses/creatures

Great boss fight video. It's also possible to spice things up when hitting Amorbis on the dark sphere, which speeds the battle up.
Great job!

As with every other boss fight that has light beacons available to stand in. I think amorbis is way too easy, even in hard mode.

How can Worms gain power from a giant ball? I mean if it was a cocoon it would be a different story...although it wouldn't make more sense.

Hey Quady, quick question:
Do you record these videos ahead of time, and post two of them every day?
Or do you record as you normally would?
