Killington Pond Skimming

That is one long pond! Have to have some sick speed. I did a pond skim Sunday at Winterplace in WV and OMG.....I was across so fast I crashed coming out! Second run wasn't so good.....LOL

It's a little bit harder to stay balanced on a board than on skis. Either way, there are 3 keys to success. the first two factors that help you get across, are speed and body weight. Unfortunately, you don't have much control of how much you weigh, but the heavier you are, the more momentum you have, so the water doesn't slow you down as much.

The third key to getting across is...

Don't fall!!!

Just bought a condo at the base of Killington in Jan 08 and had the best winter of my life. Killington Resort has new owners and the plans they have for it are really cool. Unfortunately they are going to be charging $100 for a one day lift ticket in 2009.

Bummed at K in 97'. Watching videos like this make me wish I never left. Seeing Killington in my rear view mirror was one of the worst days of my life. 10 more years and I'm cashing in the stocks and going back for good- this time in a nicer house. Can't Wait !!!!!!!!
