you can fix it yourself for cheap order online sony ps3 worm drive or ps3 blu ray lens the lens is 50 the worm drive last i checked was 5 dollars so total of 55 dollars or either 5 or 50 and your golden google is your friend.

i don't know about usa but sony is sony and in the uk thay fix for free even after warranty . if i was u i would tell sony reps in usa that in uk thay fix for free .. after all sony is sony i think that only fix yellow light and no disk icon on playstation xmb ... sony on one side of the world is the same on the other if u get yellow light in usa tell them about the uk ... sony is sony uk or usa or anywhere else

Hey guys, mine broke a few weeks back, $315 here in Australia to fix the hardware failure (about $200 US). Good vid nice work, we need the extended warrenty like the xbox, this is not our fault, we for the most part treated our broken systems with care. Was going to fix the ps3 with buying a new PSU off ebay, but fook risking it, on my way to buy a 360 after seeing this vid. Xbox 360 $259.

in the uk sony give you a brand new 60 gig for free for up to five years but ony 1 person after the first time its £65 to fix(about $130)....mine did the same playin LBP and now iv got to wait till the 30th....lol

i bought mine in christmas last year, and it broke today. i duno what 2 do 2 fix it. ummm for anybody that doesn't know: u can get your disk out of a broken ps3 by doing a fan test. you hold the eject button and then flick the switch On. the fn will go loud and the light will shine green/and blue and the disk will pop out.

u turned it completely off, then held the eject button, and (while holding eject) hit the switch in the back of the ps3? this should work on everyones machine
