  • Mmm. Those spoilers are quite strange. I suppose once the aircraft has slowed enough for there being no chance of lift they can just go down, on the ground they dont really help slow the plane, they just prevent it from lifting again.

  • What seat were you in?

  • @ew12345671 It's all in the discription...

  • ,,,WOW ,,,Great landing ,,,I couldn't even tell when he hit the runway ,,,lol,,,

  • IS IT A A340 ?

  • @khalilandyouknowit ummmm, read the title. :P

  • NOT many 777's were manafactured.

  • I love planes and flying why couldn`t we have evolved to grow wings and fly instead of boring legs

  • Amazing!!!!!

  • ha ha ha quebec accent

  • @pio909 Was just going to say. I understand Parisian French natively and I don't know a word of what she's saying besides baggage. The accent stinks!

  • @CaptainArt777 Besides, I didn't say that it is something bad... Just curious

  • @CaptainArt777 Im not a pilot honestly, but I just feel strange that I've never seen that before. Why do you say such things? That's insulting, isn't it?

  • Great video, my favourite aircraft I have ever flown on!

  • This aircraft is nice and heavy. Alot of planes don't feel as heavy as this does on approach. Its got a unique feel to it.

  • Smooth as the oil!!!

  • Can anybody tell me what month is best to fly to canada from the uk and get clear blue skies flying conditions. I was extremly pissed on last years flight as it was totally cloudy for the entire flight and saw nothing but clouds yet last year was a beautiful clear skies sunny days for the entire flight. What month would be best

  • @210482fmj August. Happy Flying.

  • @CaptainArt777 SHame august has the highest air ticket prices

  • @210482fmj That is the reason. Most of Europe go on vacation in August and that is the best weather for flying. I fly our planes, have been to 'E' many times. Live there for 8y and have many relatives living in Holland. We usually go in June, July, August or September to miss the crowd. Happy to hear you had a nice flight. I fly a small business jet called the Citation Encore and we have had some bad weather crossing the 'pond'. The jet belongs to my dad and uncle.

  • @CaptainArt777 2010 was excellent weather in canada and bc had that heat wave and it was 30deg c at 9:30 in the evening in vancouver. I had a totally cloudless flight from toronto to vancouver and it was amazing. ALso it was quite hot at altitude. IT was quite a strange feeling having an 8 hour flight from heathrow to toronto then another nearly 5 hour flight to vancouver from toronto and it not getting dark so soon. I like the skipping time zone effect

  • Flawless

  • Best 777 landing i´ve ever seen.

  • Amazing!!

  • Indeed the spoilers acted very strange right there

  • The working of the speedbrakes is strange. It's not supposed to go down soon after touchdown. At least the speedbrakes should be pulled down when the plane is leaving the runway... Nice video, and of course, nice touchdown!

  • @JeremyB787 Thanks mate!! I was really wondering if that was safe too...

  • @dantorp11 It is quite safe for the speed brakes, if they are armed, the automatic motor will apply them as soon as the aircraft touches the ground, and as Jeremy said, normal practices are to close speed brakes as you exit runway and retract flaps. In other cases, speed brakes are closed the same time thrust reversers are shut, I flew on a KLM 737-800 in Sweden and that was its case (I don't fly for KLM) but it not dangerous or unsafe, its just a way of doing things.

  • @dantorp11 On the video, the pilot closed the S/B when he was at a safe speed and was about to vacate the runway, it couldn't be safer. It is a wonderful video, and hooray for runway 6L, personally its my favourite runway at Montréal Trudeau. :)

  • @AirCanada04 Ok, appreciate that man :)

  • @JeremyB787 their spoilers not speed brakes =D

  • @itachiuchiha026 some people call them both.

  • @210482fmj there's a difference

  • Comment removed

  • @210482fmj they deploy differently and their primary functions are different

  • @210482fmj you would think...

  • @JeremyB787 It's completely at the pilot's discretion so it really doesn't matter. If the headwind was strong, and the reversers and brakes did their jobs properly, the pilots then decided to retract speed brakes. Not rocket science :P

  • @JeremyB787 Depends how much runway he can take. Normally if the pilot knows his Plane really well he knows it's capabilities of stopping. It's kinda like the A380's reverse thrust....

  • @JeremyB787 Please advise us all, are you a pilot? Fly jets? Why is it strange? I can never, ever, understand why some people make these type of statements. A non-pilot or a private pilot saying stuff instead of asking a question. Well, that is my take. For all you non pilots, the speed brakes does very little in slowing the plane down. Even if you land with its use, nothing bad will happen. I done that and see it. It helps in the over all picture, but no big deal. Not a killer item if you forge

  • @CaptainArt777 Are you a commercial pilot? If so what airline do you fly for and what routes do you fly and how long have you been flying for?

  • @TheDarkKnight181 Sorry mate, I may have come on to strong. Tired of all those so called experts that post nonsense on here. Only come on when my son ask me a question. I hold all the ratings, have over 10,000hrs, gone around the world 6X, should have been 7 but got sick this past summer. I fly my dad and uncle comp. jet. We started out with the Citation Ultra, now the Encore. I hold the single pilot or "S" rating for both. I wish you happy and safe flying.

  • @JeremyB787 On some airplanes the spoilers automatically goes down when the pilot turns off the reverse thrust, and the standard speed for that is between 80-60 knots, and he took a fastspeed exit which means they can have a bit higher speed than the standard taxispeed of 20-25 knots.

  • Why where the spoilers up in the Air?

  • @lugonic97 to slow the aircraft down... while as is landing the spoilers are deployed to eliminate lift aka floating after touchdown

  • @15Qabbey oh ty

  • wow smooth landing :)

  • i had a dream the other night i was on an air canada flight and the pilot flew the entire trip at a 6000ft and made an anouncement he decided to fly at lower altitudes for better scenery and sacrificed extra fuel and less speed for better scenery

  • @210482fmj ´Cool lol :)

  • @210482fmj lol wtf awkward dream :D

  • @TheRockstar512 Technically it would be possible in reality if weather was suitable to fly at lower altitudes for better scenery and no need for cabin pressure. It would only result in increased fuel burn and slower groundspeed and perhaps a less smooth ride depeding on weather

  • i honestly wish i could fly with out anxiety.

  • I have been flying Flight Simulator almost for 3 years. Obviously in the landing spoilers are used to slow down the plane. Spoilers will be retracted when speed is enough low. Just have to say this was pretty good work from pilots and videos capturing, steadyness and 1080p is pure awesomeness! Nice work!

  • Wierd about the spoilers! Great video!

  • Beautiful! Don't think i've seen a rough landing from an AC Pilot;)

  • @HeathrowSpottingHD Yepp, never a hard landing...

  • the Landing was so smooth that even the airplane`s computer i didnt notice the touchdown :P

  • Very Good Video! I see this plane everyday landing over my house at RWY 06R :)

  • That is the smoothest landing I've ever seen from a new 777 such as the 300ER. Nice job

  • amazing video one of the best ever :)

    incredibly good! :)

    j'aimerais voler sur le 777 ^^

  • super vidéo je pense qu'il a fait un atterrissage a une vitesse réduite c'est pour ça il a pas trop utiliser les spoilers

  • this is the best quality 777 video on youtube

  • subscribed please sub back

  • Fine piece of work by the pilots!

  • Dude!! nice video!! :D your lucky you get to fly so much!!

  • great video cheers from australia. im a international flight attendant with qantas. keep up the good work . i nornally fly from melbourne to los angels . that is my main route. and london and frankfurt . i love your videos .

  • Love the Ailerons on the Boeing 777!!!

  • awesome video so weird the spoilers went down really early, i wonder why??!!?

  • What did you use to record, it is very good quality?

  • was the plane full? lovely video!

  • nice man, in high resolution

  • that was a awesome landing

  • Best 777 video on youtube !!!

  • @HDOnlive Thank you man :)

  • @dantorp11 dont you think the 777 is superior to most of the large airbuses i went to spain a while back and the heating on the plane went out half way through the flight and was left witha backup heater it was 50F degrees in there

  • so cool going on wide body aircraftz!

what would be the minimum journey time for going on a big plane like 777 or a330?

i would love to go on one, too bad i live in europe and have never left it :(

  • @hairybearz What do you mean, they could have a 777 on a 15 minute flight if that's what you mean...

  • @hairybearz An airline could operate a heavy aircraft on any of their routes, its more logical to use them on longer routes rather than shorter ones due to their fuel consumption and range etc. Aer Lingus did however operate a regular service from Dublin to Malaga I think it was on an A330-300, not sure if they still do, may have just been in the Summer.

  • amwesome video love the airport!

  • nice video, very smooth. i cant believe Continental Connection is turning into United Express!

  • @96texan So sad :(

  • @96texan that stinks united is crapy.

  • looks cold xD

  • nice landing thumbs up

  • cool one :)

    thumbs up ;)
