very nice.. but may I ask doesn't this put a lot of strain on the shutter.. I mean constantly for just 1000 pictures every five seconds seems like you really work the shutter out..

hi, yes that is a concern of mine, too - one of the main reasons I don´t do as much time lapse as I would want to...

The movie consists of 1000 indivdiual images (999 is the max number for timelaps + 1 test shot at the start), I set the interval to 5sec. between the images to get a smooth motion of the clouds.

May i ask how often you had the D200 take a photo and how many total phtotos?
