  • How on Earth has this show not been made into a DVD???

  • Peter Sellers made the UK top 20 with his version of A Hard Day's Night in early 1966, reaching no.14! Brilliant performance, haven't seen this show since it's one and only repeat in 1985. Why has this show never come out on DVD? We Can Work It Out is my favourite Beatles song and it was great to see them sing that too. Thanks for posting this gem.

  • Is Ringo swatting flies? Cuz he ain't playing those drums!!! Hahahahaha. Still, gotta love the beatles!!!

  • hahaha, Peter Sellers cracked me up! "..alright" :D Lennon/McCartney= Best songwriting partnership ever.

  • great

  • lmao Peter Sellers thing. "...alright."

  • @alonzogarbanzo lol I did the same thing in Help when they were doing Youre gonna loose that girl. Pauls playing bass then seemingly at the same time, he plays piano! lol

  • Yes, a great posting. Thank you for posting this special in it's entirety. A question: Did this originally air before or after the Beatles were knighted?

  • @TheWhatsinaname after. It aired just before Christmas in 1965, 17 December. The got the MBE in, what June? Little help out there? Was June or so, wuddn't it?

  • I love the end and Ringo is kinda not playing the drums and when he hits it and it moves and then he does it again and it doesn't awww I love it!!! This was a good program.

  • Peter Sellers´ was the best interpretation of any of the Beatles´ songs featured in this show

  • this was great, never saw it.

  • when I see George,Peter and especially John under Paul's gaze at the time of the lyrics "..Life is very short and there's no time..."a deep and unconsoling sadness invades me.Thanks still today, eternally for all their brave efforts in Life to make it bearable with laughs so much needed on.

  • " BRILLIANT "

The good old days,THANKS for the memories

  • Not that funny really. Maybe it's me.

  • NyRainbow - you're the tops! Well done

  • I too HAVE to say a BIG thank you for posting this in its entirety. I have NEVER seen the full show and this was such a treat. I agree with so many who have said that this HAS to be made available on DVD. It is total class; such a wonderful program, so well done, and though I've been a John Girl for 28 years now, John and Paul are my second favorite Beatle -- what they shared, created, what their partnership represented. This is a perfect illustration of that. Thanks so much again. :-)

  • The Beatles rule man. Where did they put this TV Show was it on the BBC?

  • THANKS A LOT!!!!!

  • Wow, I didn't expect this special to be on here, thanks! How did you get it in such great quality?

  • Everything everyone else has said and a big THANK YOU for sharing this.

  • Thank you very much nyrainbow. What a classy show. I've been a fan for nearly all my 46 years and have never seen most of this before. Why it's not shown, barely referenced in retrospectives, or available on DVD is beyond me! Get with it Apple!

  • These were great! Thanks for sharing these. I loved all 7 of them.

  • thanks for uploading these videos!

  • The bit with Peter Sellers is hilarious! XD

  • i didn't think that this bit was funny. i mean it was funny the first time you see it but the second time i had to fast forward it. it was kind of a drag.

  • The Sellers's skit was a satire of Sir Laurence Olivier's Shakespearean recitation/performance in the Movie, Richard III. So it is a bit of an inside joke.

  • These vids. were GREAT! Again thanks for posting them. You know Peter Sellers playing Shakespeare's Richard III quoting "A Hard Day's Night" reminds me that one of the best ways for me to remember Shakespeare has always been while listening to the Beatles' music! A lesson there for all you would be thespians.
