  • wow i wanted to see this show oh right i seen this show before but a long time lol

  • This is cool! I never expected see Mushu in that place

  • Peter's Dragon with Mushu at 2:57

  • When the Character Koda from Brother Bear was introducing himself to Kenai, I heard him say Koden.

  • i've never been to this. when i started going it was already the animation academy

  • Haha I went to this 2 days ago but in Florida.

  • I saw this show WAAAAYYYYY back in.... was it 2001? XD

  • HOLY CRAP! This cast member is a 1000000% better at this than the horror we had as a presenter.. Have a look.. I sent it as a video response.. yikes

  • just saw your video. yup, you're right.

  • @ncsbracergp94 hey, can you send me that video too?

  • It's Phoebus at 6:33!!! YAY =D

  • ElphabaPhan, I envy you. That has to be the BEST job EVER!!!!

  • that was so fun for me to watch LOL

  • i saw this only once, and the preview at the end was of chicken little.

  • Thanks for putting this up. I can never get anywhere near Florida to go to Disneyland (or the Disney Studios).

  • no didnt close it still open i look today at dca it still there your mistake the animation academy and drawn to animation both with opening grand opening to disney california adventure i have plan bring mickey phiharmagic will be add with lion king -the little mermaid theme land after i sent a letter to disney for mickey phiharmagic WILL NOT REPLACE MUPPET VISION 3D show

  • They actually animated Red Feather (the turkey from Pocahontas) in this video. Awesome.

  • Oh yeah... I didn't really think about that. They animated a... well... DEAD character... :p. I know, that was lame, haha.

  • Have you seen the deleted scene of Red Reather bumping into the dog from Pocahontas? It should still be on Youtube somewhere.

  • This is what my job is going to be starting Monday...I am so scared....this girl is really into it though and has fun with it....in Walt Disney World, which is where I will be, they don't seem to stray too far from the script. I mean, she says the script pretty much verbatim (i was following along with it at the same time)...but she also adds in a few things here or there. I don't know if I will be allowed to do that, nor will I be comfortable doing it.....I'm not an actress as it is! haha

  • Break a leg and have fun!! I recite the Waterworld show's dialouge in Universal Studios Hollywood everytime I get a chance :)

  • Are you still doing this show? I found after following the regular spiel, I get more comfortable and start having fun with it.

  • no my program ended in Jan. I was there on a college internship. But I got really good at it! Even though we all pretty much hate doing it haha. "Oh no! I got DTA! DAMMIT!" Yeah, that was said on a daily basis...if not on an hourly basis :)

  • I'm on the DCP internship right now :).

  • are you in Disneyland or WDW?

  • Disneyland Resort

  • mushu is kool

  • i enjoyed that is there any more

  • Nope, that's the entire Disney's California Adventure show. At the exit, they used to have this animation gallery of the clay 3D character models and sketches. The ones along the walls are still there I believe, but the display cases in the center of the room have been removed and replaced with animated backgrounds for character photo meet n greets and the room renamed "Character Close-up".

  • Maquettes?! MAQUETTES!?!?! I love those! If there's anything better than the final film, it's seeing the creativity process and all the production art!

  • cool!!

  • hmm, Just Noticed That The First Person Brought Up On The Video Is Chris, rather, Chris Sanders, The Big Guy Behind Lilo (and namely) Stitch, Who Is Now No Longer With Disney..

    Just Thought That Was Interesting..

  • Yeah, it sucks. Chris Sanders left Disney (shy of 20 years on working for Disney) and joined Dreamworks. Though there is still one thing he did prior to his leave, he is still credited for writing the story for "American Dog" (now renamed "Bolt").

  • @twist58 yeah i know what you mean

  • Thanks for uploading this! Too bad this show was replaced. I would have loved to have seen this! Thanks for sharing!

  • I rememeber this! It was the park near Paris and they presented Chicken Little, but I remember this! Thx for uploading. <3

  • This was recorded in California like I said in the video description. I was not aware they had this same presentation at Walt Disney Studios theme park in Paris. I did know it was at the Disney-MGM theme park in Florida.

  • What princess was she? Judging by the talking at the beginning about the beast, I'm guessing she was Belle.

  • Actually, it's in the Beast's Library where you find out what Disney character is most like you. I think I stopped recording before she said the answer (oops).

  • Sqwaaa!! <3 This is SO kawaii! X3 lol. Mushu is so adorable. :3 lol.^^ Ehh.. I didn't remember it being this fun that last time I went. XD lol. Gr8 job on the video, thanks for loading. :)

  • Thanks so much for uploading this. I think it's Mark Mosely voicing Mushu in this.

  • yes, it is me. Thanks for pointing that out.

    Mark

  • Cool, thanks.

  • Is that tate donovan? Anyway does anyone have animation academy? Yes it's eddie.

  • Why did you mention tate donovan (aka Hercules)? I haven't been inside animation academy yet :(.

  • w8....tate donovan's there??

  • have they used any other characters in the show besides mushu?

  • Not to my knowledge. They would usually change the ending to reflect what new release is coming out. That's about all that change. That and the host. I'm not sure if they still show trailers for the "Animation Academy", haven't been in yet. And I'm not sure if Disney-MGM still has this show.

  • Yes they do still have the Drawn to Animation show at the Disney-MGM Studios as well as the Animation Academy.

  • Yes they used to have different characters in the Drawn to Animation Show at the Disney-MGM Studios. It was Robin Williams as one of the lost boys from Peter Pan and it was narrated by Walter Croncite.

  • The Robin Williams & Walter Cronkite short film was called "Back to Neverland", completely different and separate from "Drawn to Animation". In my WDW trip (I think in summer 2002), I remember the "Back to Neverland" and animation tour. I don't recall "Drawn to Animation" being in Disney-MGM...

  • I Loved Stopping By This Show..

But Audience Attendance Has Dwindled Down Since Opening, And They Seemed To Want To Replace It With Something Else That Also Isn't Too Popular..

Really, Back Then, The Person At The Front Of The Entrance To The Show Was Literally Directing People To Come In.. same seems to happen to animation academy..

    Thanks For The Upload! =)

  • Thanks for uploading this. : )

  • I LOVE THIS , And Animation , Thank you for uploading this clip .

  • Man I wish I saw this show! Thanks for uploading it. I want to work with the Disney Company someday.

  • Holy smokes, I never was aware that this existed! I've been in the animation building at DCA before, but I've never seen this before. Then again, that place is like a maze for me, lol. Regardless, this is really cool. I wonder if that Mushu there was voiced by Mark Mosely (Kingdom Hearts, Mulan II, House Of Mouse, etc) or the original actor, Eddie Murphy? It's always hard to tell for me, lol. That recording must've been in either 2003 or 2004, judging by the Brother Bear stuff. :)

  • When you first enter the Animation building, you make a left and there's a lit sign that says "Drawn to Animation" with Mushu on there. Currently it's Animation Academy. I think the stage is still there. I haven't been in AA yet. I agree, I don't really know who did Mushu's voice. I think it's Eddie.

  • I hope it's Eddie Murphy. No one can impersonate Eddie Murphy. And I don't like anyone who can.

  • I saw this in Florida and loved the show. the only thing that was different from it was that that host was a guy insted of a girl.

  • Huh. When was this around for Florida?? I always thought this was unique and made for DCA. I enjoyed this because of the neat blend of the live actor and animated character show :D.

  • i Love that too, That's why Who Farmed Rager Rabbit is my most favorite movie. And by the way, I saw this show in Feb. 2004. It took place at MGM Studieos. I don't know if it's still showing or not.

  • "these people got issues" lol

Pretty cool man I never saw this, thanks for the upload.
