@pernophusmusic But when oxygene came out, the memorymoog wasn't invented yet. On the album oxygene he used the 2600 and later on mainly the memorymoog.
I think that yes. The MS 2000 is a modelisation of the MS 20. On the other hand for the patching I do not know well the MS 2000. Wave square oscillator and delay . . .
The MS2000 is not a "modernization" of the MS20. They are totally different beasts: the MS20 is a semi-modular analog synth and the MS2000 is a digital virtual analog using modeling technology.
This so-called modernization is a marketing technique designed to sell synths, with zero basis in reality.
MS2000 is NOT a "digital modeling of MS20 sounds' at all--the name is a marketing ploy to get those that don't know thinking that somehow this VA synth has lineage with their most coveted analog synth.
Chances are 100 out of 100 that the engine is based on the failed OASYS project of the 90's, because ALL their products spun off of that one's research.
If you've ever played a MS20 you'd realize how silly your claim is.
If you want a digital model of the MS20 get the Korg Analog Legacy package
the delay is from a pad or from ms20?

@pernophusmusic : actually, maybe.. but not originally... In 1976, the year of Oxygene, the Memmy didn't exist... :o)

He said "modelisation", not "modernization". Essentially meaning that the MS2000 is digital modeling of MS20 sounds and functionality.
