you people got it all wrong Badspot was working with LEGO they never replied to him which is why the game became more Blocky and less Lego thus we get the Retail in 2007 the Minifig player type hasn't been created for Retail yet due to it crashing your game every time it's used

@dustin4441 Well, not quite. As far as I know the creator of the game was never approached with legal action/demands. That being said, it would have been a foolish choice to charge for a game that distinctly uses LEGO IP. Altering the appearance of the player model, brick textures, and any other items would be useful examples to have if he were ever faced with legal action.
