I have blonde hair, and when I curl it, the curls dont stay AT ALL! So I use hair spray! But the curls still fall out! I'm not sure if it's just my hair spray or it's how I'm curling my hair, when I curl my hair, my hair gets really thin, and I hate lots of hair spray because than it looks like a big fluff ball! The second way you demonstrated gives a wavier result, where as when you curl it the traditional way it gives you a more spiral tight curl. But anyway your hair is beautiful :)

You're not supposed to touch or run your fingers through your curls when they're hot still, they fall easily and faster. You're supposed to let it cool before you touch or do anything to it.
