  • Not only is the upcoming story about a romance between a black couple still daring for 1964, it would mark perhaps the first time one could see an African-American female in a significant role on all three networks at the same time (Monday at 10PM)...Diana Sands on BREAKING POINT, Leslie Uggams on SING ALONG WITH MITCH, and Cicely Tyson on EAST SIDE, WEST SIDE.

  • i just get the tingles when I see the sponsor spots..thanks:)

  • @sexymama1966 Me 2! I like that "we pause now for station identification"announcement. Anyone here know when networks stopped having announcers say that? I've seen it on alot of 60's and 70's tv shows.

  • @marcowuzmypimp My favorite is when they would promote a different program by the same sponsor "on another network".

  • @sexymama1966 I'm glad they kept one complete commercial.

  • Virginia Gregg is the only name I recognize. She was a favorite of Jack Webb and was a frequent guest star on his "Dragnet" and "Adam 12" series.

  • @LOLOLUTHER Wasn't she also the Folger's Coffee Lady in the 70's commercials?

  • @marcowuzmypimp No, that was Virginia Christie.

  • @tomservo56954 Ok. Thanks!

  • @LOLOLUTHER And like she did with Webb, Gregg appeared as a different character on another episode of the show that aired the previous October.

  • Thanks.
