  • three people have never been in love :(

  • I concur wholeheartedly...Aretha's telling it like it is in this song! WOW!!! I love it. The lady is phenomenal...always!

  • Many of these songs are before my time, but.... THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting becuase I have a newfound respect and love for Aretha! Please let us all pray for her speedy recovery.

  • I kept wondering what album was this song off of and now that I see the cover this album my mom bought in the 60s before Ms Ree became the Queen of Soul. She would buy Aretha's albums when she sang jazz and this was my introduction to the best voice ever.

  • @yaskam: Thank you so much for sharing with us this timeless music. I appreciate you because you bring a little pleasure to a world that has gone out of it's mind.

  • This is actually a studio album with fake audience sounds dubbed in.

    Love this album though.

  • @taddyd1 ...FUCK U...U DONE EVEN WHT DA FUCK U TALKING BOUT...TAKE FUCKIN GAS!!!!

  • @CYNDYTWIN51

Well known FACT that was even mentioned in reviews when the lp came out. The fake generic crowd noise is so obviously dubbed to any discerning listener.

    So Cyndytwin53:

Learn your Aretha trivia and quit cussing over your ignorance, Her Majesty would be apalled.

  • @CYNDYTWIN51

    HEY FOOL, BIG MOUTH, CYNDYwhiner,

Columbia has just released "take a look" a comprehensive Aretha Box set (w/ her ENTIRE columbia catalog.)The "YEAH" which contains this track album is included WITHOUT all the fake club crowd noise and applause that heard on this youtube version-a major marketing point of the set.

Apology accepted in advance. It's one bad to make a mistake, but it's a million bads worse when your mistake is comitted while "correcting" someone else.

  • This will always stand as my all-time favorite Aretha Franklin performance/song. Didn't her former husband, Ted White, write this song? Well, anyway, from the moment I first heard this song on a re-release album, Aretha Sings the Blues, if I remember correctly, it touched me to the point that I'd play it over and over again. When I played at my college radio station in Nashville, I always found a way to include it because it moved so much. Thank you, Aretha for everything you given us.

  • @tommytwilight62 She wrote it with him

  • I sang this song at the funeral of a friends girlfriend...she died in a car crash. Ive known the friend for 20 years. I knew his GF for 7 years. And I had to keep my eyes close to keep from losing it, completely. She was the sweetest girl, I ever knew...

  • I agreed, and one of the best jazz female vocalist album of all times.Aretha deserved with this album a title - A female jazz singer of the year.
