@SephGS Nope, as long as they don't use a trademarked title, characters, or any content from the original (you can make your own content in the same style) its fine. Some games (VERY few) hold a patent on game play, probably because you have to be so specific on the mechanics. Tetris is the only game I know of that ABSOLUTELY can't be copied in any form or likeness, because of their patent on the 4-block stacking mechanic.
That isn`t quiet true there are alot of Duck hunt games for Iphone with the original charakters (Dog & Ducks) and everything else and they don`t have the license. Either Nintendo can sue them or nintendo has not the licence (sold them). Or maybe they become open source which i doubt thou.
So...can't Nintendo sue for royalties since it's way too similar to the NES game?
