  • PROTOTYPE OF WHEN A SONG TRANSCENDS ITSELF AND BECOMES A MANDATE ...

  • i love this!!!!!!

  • This song is beautiful no matter who sings it, but I'm sorry: Brian Stokes Mitchell is the standard. I was lucky enough to see "Ragtime" during it initial run and with the original cast. I love that show--all of it--but to see Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell on stage TOGETHER was breathtaking. I tear up every time I hear him sing this song.

  • What a thrill!

  • Love it! another amazing version of this song is the Brian Stokes Mitchell version. absolutely incredible. this may not be my heritage, and some would take offense at my love of the song, but this is about more than just race, this is an anthem for the ages. incredible.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting. I agree; this was the greatest performance to date. Aretha's was great for Mandela tribute, also, but to hear a brother singing it... It becomes and Anthem for a time like these in 2011.

  • There is no other that can compare.

  • Cook Dixon and Young are the best

  • amazing!!!

  • I cannot count the amount of times I listen to this song in the pass week. This song is so well written and the voice was created just to sing this song,,,I have also listen to this song as was done by 20 or so chior and solo preformer but none can come clost to this rendition of make them here you. Not even the awesome aritha did it justice.

  • Bravo... This song gives me goosebumps..

  • My sons are only 11 and 7 years old... They will sing this song to their grandchildren. A great anthem for the ages.

  • standing ovation right here in my room. gave me chills!

  • Thank you so much for this video! Out of all the fantastic performances by the Three Mo' Tenors, this is also my favorite! The song itself is beautiful, but Rodrick Dixon performs it so eloquently! You can hear his passion just pouring out. I could listen to him sing for hours!

    Thanks again! :)
