according to the codex ammo is just a metal block and the bullets are sand sized shavings ... its heat thats the problem ... so rather than allow it to cool down the heat is sucked up by a clip which can be rapidly changed ... ammo can be brought to give different effects, some are shield punchers others are more effective against different targets

i should point out i have never actully played ME myself, just done far to much reading (and writing) on MEWiki and watching Youtube clips

Mass Effect is one of the best games i've played to date! Can't wait for ME2, I'm so glad they have regenerative health that really annoyed me!!! The save problem never did though it just meant i'd be able to do it again!

yeh its true the allies were useless. They just died and walked infront of your sniper. When they actually stood still and fired at baddies there was always a wall in the way. And for what ever reason i'd have to constantly switch out the pistol for their trained snipers, rifles, and shotguns.

Actually you can transfer your saves from ME1 so you can play as the Shepherd from ME1 including his looks and actions from the first one, however you will also be able to customize "Your" Shepherd's looks since they'll probably add more things to it.

If your character was a female in ME1 yes she will be female in ME2. Same if you customised your head.

ME2 allows you to port your save files from ME1. All your choices and how you customised Shepard will transfer over to the second game.

There were biotic enemies in ME1. They were mostly Asari and all their powers did was knock you down but it was still something.

Well in ME1 some of the enemies, namely the asari, use biotic attacks, but when attacking shepard, they use the ones that don't make things unfair, like Throw. I would be dead for sure if enemies use Lift on me and kill me midair. :(

And I agree that our teammates should function better in the second one. If I don't tell them where to go, they get in my fuckin way, and if I tell them to go, they aren't really smart when it comes to cover.

To be honest I enjoy and like Gears more than this game, but that's only because I like playing it online, storyline goes good but 80% of games A.I. are just not challenging unless it's a boss. I do enjoy this game though for it's RPG but later on I'd get bored of. I thought Fable 2 was going to be my #1 game then I beat it, every event, quests, maxed skills, and everything, and got bored of the weak A.I.'s bowing down to my Legendary weapons. But I am looking forward to this game.

Mass effect did have an awesome story, but it did suffer from major hiccups. The Xbox 360 version had lots of texture-popin and had a lot of framerate issues. Though BioWare has already stated that Mass effect 2 will have no more texture-popin and the Framerate will be locked at 30FPS+ ( Xbox 360 version).
