Yes, it did. Landing capability is planned and will be added later. Human transportation capability will follow. If all goes like planned. But you know how it is with plans..."the best laid plans.." and so on...

Great piece of hardware. I hope the ATV will quickly evolve into a CRV (Crew Return Vehicle). Thus expanding Europe's independent access to space to human space flight. It has also the potential to become a ferry for the Moon.

A wonderful and successful piece of European hardware. I hope the drag it out over 20-30 years and make many different versions. The development potential is enormous! The only problem is lack of funds.
