  • i have the 120 and the 75...love em both..120 gave me some trouble but it was hit so hard in shipping it came with a broken cabinet... the 75 works great..alas the sampora 1 pedal doesnt seem to work correct...

  • use the cc button so funny

  • @razormusic amen to that bro. I have the Vyper 75 and a vintage 89' ibanez (heavily used througout the years) yet i still get that "holyshit" sound and feel you were talking about

  • Weird, I have the same amp, and the same shirt! But I love my Vypyr 30. Its a great small combo for home practice.

  • I thought he was wearing a Slayer t-shirt haha.

  • I think it's 75 watt def not 30 due to USB etc

Nice G&L SC-2 (I think) @petrochemicals4u wanted review with single coils- I think the Amp sounded pretty cool with the G&L, tho the pickups are quite hot for single coils

  • @rupertveitch the 30 watt has usb accessibility but its midi to usb. The 75 watt is usb completely

  • is that the 75W ?

  • Guys should i get peavey vypyr 30 or Marshal Mg30Fx?

  • @VisContigo Peavey!

  • @VisContigo go the peavey i have the marshall good amp but i wish i got this

  • @VisContigo

    Peavey, No doubt!

  • @VisContigo

Oh hey, Btw Buy that amp from Sweetwater! They give you a free 2-Year Warranty, Free tech support, and free shipping. Just to let you know!

  • @modelking100 dude i live in a Caribbean island...no bigger than a dot on the world map...if i get the free shipping customs are still gonna rape the living shit outta me when i gets here, and sending it back and forth for free tech repairs not making sensee. Thanks tho.

  • @VisContigo You live on a Caribbean Island you don't get the cool Amp: sounds like you have had your share of good fortune already!

  • @modelking100 thanks for that. i never heard of sweetwater.

  • @neilyoungtherealone

No problem. And another thing, I wouldn't buy the Vypyr, I had about two of em' take a crap on me, In about three months. To be honest with you, I wouldn't even buy a modeling amp. They're always short circuiting, because of all the modules and wires in it. I'd buy the Peavey bandit 112, or a ValveKing112.

  • vypyrsettings.fr this web sight is AWESOME!! tones of Vypyr settings I have the Vypyr75 and its Freaking Awesome .....\m/

  • \m/

  • I think he was having fun! This amp sounds great and clean in all the modes, good thing.

  • can you use the looper without the sanpera pedal?

  • @store1992 apparently not, even the manual says that they had no idea how to use it without the pedal

  • OMG I WANT IT!!!!!

  • does this amp come with the USB cable or is it bought separately?

  • @GuitarHero55598 Sadly, it's seperate.

  • A question for the vypyr 15 owners: ive got a Line 6 PODxt and i want the sound that it produces to run through my Vypyr, but without the Vypyr changing the signal. I already tried putting the reverb/delay/low/mid/high on the Vypyr at zero, but its still not the same. It does feel as if the different amps on the Vypyr (XXX, Brit etc) have something to do with it, but i dont know how i can use the Vypyr as a "No Amp"

  • I have the Vypyr 30, but it doesnt have the usb port or the power thing next to the master volume, is that only on the tube models or is mine just new or not big enough??

  • @MyanmesKenny19 the peavey vypyr 15 watt and 30 watt don't have either thing. The 15 watt doesn't even have stompboxes, just effects. If u want to record to a computer you can use the headphone jack, it works the same way as the usb, it just might be hard to find an adaptor for the computer. The power sponge isn't really necessary either, its just A nice thing to have if you want a louder type of sound at bedroom volumes. Hope this explains ur question. I have the same model amp u have.

  • what if i have a crappy guitar? will this amp still sound good?

  • @drewcropp It will sound ok but the better guitar you have the better. Get an Ibanez of a dean

  • @sk8ersynistersean or a jackson

  • @drewcropp The general rule is that bad guitar + good amp = good sound, good guitar + bad amp = bad sound, good guitar + good amp = HOLY SHIT.

  • Yeah I just wanted to ask which amp should I opt for Line 6 Spider IV 15 or Vypyr 15?

  • @khushalbhadra Definitely the Peavey Vypyr , line 6 has a horrid tone, you won´t regret buying the Peavey !!

  • I especially like the tone during the soloing over the looper

  • hey im just wondering where to get the usb for the amp? Please reply

  • could i have the tabs to the song u played over the looper

  • @spacemonkey12346789- he was probably just improvising. Don't rely on tabs for everything.

  • what were the amp settings at 7:30

  • also what were the setting for the 6th tone u played with the wah-wah pedal

  • what were the settings for the 4th tone u played

  • lol you played on wrong settings for a few songs

  • lol at 7:17 that was a horrible enter sandman, you can tell that dude is not a metal player. I have this, rules ass!

  • i have the same amp except i dont have the stompbox switch

  • G'day....still havent seen 'one ' decent review of a Vypyr with a Strat ! Are these no good with single coils like some say ? Any chance of a blues vid/demo with some crunchy/ dreamy, reverby, chorus cleans also ??? I've been lookin for too long now, and just when i thought id made up my mind on the Vypyr 30, I'm having dealers say they dont want to sell me one !... they say 'Too' many have come back... and they wont be stocking them again because of that ! Please Help ...!!!!!

  • can you show me how to set the tone plssss!!!!

  • @2dummofo yes

  • lol, I love that you played "god of thunder"

  • would peavey vypyr 100 make alot of difference then vypyr 75?

  • someone send a message for settings for this amp for a jazz and metal sound. Can't find that perfect sound I like.

  • what happens if you have and amp and the volume only can go to 10 .well this amp is awsome becase you can go to 13!!!

  • GOD OF THUNDER! 6:20

  • Is this amp any good for disturbed sound?

  • @RockinguitardudeSG Peavey is good for any sound

  • im looking for an unbiased opinion in whether to get this or the line 6 spider IV (30 watt) and why, because ive heard that the line 6 has far greater tone and general sound quality, help a guy out here please :)

  • @maveguitar i have used the 75 version of both and the spider comes with better preset tones for metal but the vypyr is much better for creating your own tones, i personally think the vypyr is better for cleans and distortion

  • @antieverything13 thanks for you're opinion, i'll be sure to bear that in mind :)

  • @maveguitar no problem

  • I recently bought the 100 watt version of this amp, it is amazing.

  • Should I go for the 30 watt or the 75 watt? I'm mostly play metal and I'm going to use it for home and band practice. Is the 30 watt enough for band practice? Please reply! :D

  • @CrimzonAE Yes, the 30 watt will be plenty for practicing, and possibly even on stage. I have the 15 watt version, and it really suprised me. BTW, for metal tones, try the Krankenstein setting (K-Stein). and if you want that "up your ass" distortion, add the Tube Screamer....fuckin insane!

  • I don't know if I'm going to get this amp or the Line 6 Spider IV 75 75. What do you guys think?

  • yes its better than line 6 or boss

  • what setting was that at 6:43???

  • How do you use the looper?

  • Great demo. Displaying the amp model´s name along with the sound would have been of much help though. How is the Brit model? Is the 1st one you stated playing with? I think so. Thanks!

  • @newpixeldude Sorry, I meant "STARTED playing with".

  • which amp is better for metal tones? the peavey 75 or the spider 4 75 watt,

i've triend them both but couldnt make a difference, i thought that they both sounded great

  • lol... sandman and crushing day... two of my favorite songs.

  • waht was the name of the van halen song?

  • This looks sweet, but just how loud can this get? Could I drown out a drummer in a 4X8 room? Cause thats what Im going for.

  • im just wondering, is the vypyr series compatible with the Boss ME-70 pedal? i have the 30 watt vypyr and im looking to get a new pedal. Or is it just worth it to get the sanpera II pedal? and if so where does the pedal board plug into on the amp? Thanks a lot!

  • @jedrich728 Did u find out about the boss pedal thing? i was wondering the same thing..i have a Boss ME 20 pedal...

  • @dorianpod77 sorry man i didnt get the boss pedal for the vypyr, but i did order the Sanpera II and recieved it. It works absolutely amazing. I did read about the boss me 70 though with the amp and it should work if you keep the amp on clean, otherwsie i say stick with the Sanpera dude!

  • lol.. enter sandman on 7:16

  • modeling....emulating... GOOD JOB.

  • oh and by the way he messes up in his interview when he's going over the amp models, when the dial turns red it means the amps are in overdrive, and it doesn't matter which ones are on the left or right side. green light means clean, red means distortion. it's in the manual.

  • @ChanielDang I think he meant that the ones on the right side are the more clean type channels rather to the more distorted channels. Like the 6505 setting is a heavy distortion whilst the Plexi setting is softer and not as heavy.

  • @SamXmasl oh well that makes sense then. he wasnt very clear lol.

i just got this amp myself. it is so damn sweet i think i'll never get another amp until my band gets famous and i just screw it all over for a marshall stack. hahaha

  • does anyone know which amp setting is the marshall setting when he says it at around 1:55? i really want to know

  • I'm either gonna get the 100 Watt solid state 212 one, or the 60 Watt tube one. I'm not sure yet, I'm just a bit worried about having to replace the tubes every couple of years...

  • @DeathMetalAngel123 hey.. i never knew that we have to replace the tubes every couple of years. thanks for the info.. By the way, Tube 60 has better tone and distortion rather than the solid state 100 watt212

  • Glad I could help! Okay, thanks for your help as well!

  • Could someone answer this question: Is the 75 Watt enough for playing onstage at small venues? If it'll get a boost through the PA?

  • hey if it gets a boost from the PA definitely. i don't know about how loud it can get stand-alone, however. i'm looking for the answer to that myself.

  • I got this amp

    lol

  • Im considering the 100 or 75 watt version, is this amp suitable for metal playing?

  • @Jigsaw662 Peavey Triple XXX :o)

  • @Jigsaw662 yes

  • very suitable haha the 6505 on it is good very various types of metal and the XXX gives you that thrash metal sound.

  • @Jigsaw662 yesss... it can handle any kind of music...

  • woo! Getting the 30 watt tomorow (Y)

amazing amp (Y), only thing i dont like bout it though... sounds shit in videos :S

  • It sounds better than a line 6, heavier and crisper.

  • Comment removed

  • yes a lot better

  • is this amp better than a Line6 Spider IV?

  • yep it really is a lot better. i wanted to get a spider 4 and tried it out... wasnt satisfied, i then got a peavey valveking 112 and a friend of mine got the vypyr and it blew my fucking mind

  • The Spider III has a far better "out of the box" sound than the Spider IV. So compare it with the III not the IV.

Anyway, the Vypyr sounded and felt damn good in a guitar store.

  • and if i want the peavey vypyr as practise amp and not as amp for the stage or anything... Would it be a good choise? Or should i try a Vox VT? I would rather buy the vypyr because it has many effects and stomp boxes

  • @RockHailand no

  • @RockHailand VERY!! You have a wider range of tones than the Line 6, more effects, and more control over the effects. 24 amp models, compared to the 12 of the Line 6, ranging from the 70's sound of a Plexi, to the modern metal sound of the Krankenstein. Both are about the same price, at least around here. The only thing that the Line 6 has that the Peavey doesn't is the built in artist presets. But I enjoy making my own tones.

  • @RockHailand yessssssssssss

  • @6936ki Well i have the Vypyr now since April and it's really awesome (:

  • @RockHailand MUCH better.

  • @LessthanJake14 i hate the people who thumbed up my comment about this .____.

@ALL: i have this amp now since april and it is awesome, stop telling me x.x

  • @RockHailand Substantially.

  • @RockHailand no

  • @RockHailand...it kinda just depends i prefer a line 6 but i also have this peavy viper..the peavy has more effects...

  • @RockHailand

yes,for sure. Well, I guess technically it comes down to preference.....but 9/10 people are gonna prefer the peavey

  • @RockHailand yes :P

  • @RockHailand personaly i would say yes, i don't like the sound of the spider

  • @RockHailand Lets just say Peavey > Line 6

  • Got this yesterday as a practice amp to use at home when I cant use my 100watt tube head--its absolutely the best practice amp you can get; the value is bar none the best. The tone that can be dialed in is top notch and ranges from so many different styles. Without a doubt I was able to coax the same vibe in the 15 watt version as I can in my Carvin head. The articulation isn't quite there, but hey its solid state! Even still, for what it is..it WAY exceeded my expectations.

  • 8:06 - 8:15 sounds cool, does anyone think they can tab it

  • Watch his finger and listen closely transcribing is a pain in the ass but good practice.

    @mikerules111

  • can you have stompboxes on bypass on the vypyr?

  • @Christopherwilder47 yup all the stomp boxes and effects can be bypasses ! i am getting tired of this thing basically i only use 3 models sigh the rest is crap

  • i jst got one of these jst as a practice amp and its amazing i jst got the 15 and its amazing it has any thing you would want for a practice amp

  • Always wondered what God Of Thunder would sound like with a wah! Thanks!

  • this is the best review I have seen of an amp

great playing and in all style of music well he play any jazz but that is ok This Bro can play

  • I just bought this amp and it kicks ass!! It even has the Joe Satriani setting called JSX

  • this or the behringer lx112 ???

  • the reverse effect, is used on the solo in like a stone - audioslave. well at least it sounds like it

  • @ ImHomeAtLast

Barenaked Ladies use it in their song called "Pinch Me". Its the solo near the end of the song, sounds pretty cool too. Look it up on youtube but make sure you get the right version. They don't do it in the live versions.

  • I think it's better than spider III (?) and this amp have pedals (switchfoot) like the line 6 Spider 3 series?

  • hahaha finally someone who found a Van Halen sound, thats the first sound i tried to see if this amp can accomplish, the warmth and depth of that of Eddie Van Halen's sound, and it comes pretty close, closer than any other combo modeling amp. The Line 6's phaser is too insane, no warmth

  • Whoa. A review without any talking between the playing! Schweet.

  • whats the song in 6:51???

  • You're kidding right? That's "wild thing"!

  • We never kid about the "wild thing" :)

  • Nice vid man!!!!!!!!! i was thinking about the name of the song in 6:51 and dont remember!!! could someone tell me???

  • What peavy amp woud be best for stuff like Bleed from within, as blood runs black and Bring me the horizon like sound? :l

  • i feel like an idiot asking this. but i have owned this amp for 8 months now and i am ready to sell it. my nephew plays bass and he was wondering if he could play a bass through this. would that be okay, i mean would it blow the speaker?

  • does this amp need sanperra pedal to use the looper...and is the usb recording studio quailty ....i wanna know before i buy

  • yo do u need the sanperra pedal to use loop..? and is the USB recording studio quality .....? some1 help

  • Not at all. Very intuitive.

  • I just got mine and I was just wondering how i could get it rly distorted? I play mostly Metalcore, Deathcore, Hardcore and Death Metal. :) (So i rly need lots of distortion!)

  • put it on the 6505 setting of course. i play the same stuff as you and it sounds awesome, what one did you get?

  • its alot of fun

  • is this amp good for metallica and slayer songs?

  • Its good for all things metal. period.

  • This amp is good for ANYTHING =)

  • its a modeling amp it has some of the best amps built into it plus it has the usability of effects etc. so i think u can use it for metallica and slayer btw i used the new line 6 spider 4 but it only has 4 chanells clean crunch metal insane i think you should get a peavy more worth the money

  • do you need the sanpera to use the tuner?

  • nope u dont

  • nope, you press and hold the amp knob and then you are on tuner mode

  • no you dont

  • nope

  • This is far more than a "beginner amp". The amp modeling is so much more organic than any of the Line6 stuff. Plus the way they lay our pre and post effects, and the looper, and the sampera, crap, you dont need anything else for most shows IMO

  • I shore wouldnt classify this as a beginners only amp, on the contrary, a seasoned session player can appreciate the versatility of this line of amps

  • Really great review!

  • sounds good

  • i played on this amp yesterday and i was extremely impressed

i only played on one setting for about 5 mins but it is probably one of the best amps i have ever played

  • Would you recommend I buy them off ebay? I heard they break down easily and so it might break down on it's journey to malta. :S Or someone might decide to sell a broken one or something

  • 007! yeah

  • tht enter sandman riff sounded gd but y did u palm mute the single notes or was tht improve

  • can you acesses the looper without the footswitch?

  • No, you need the footswitch..

  • it looks hard to understand so many stuff on i it -_-

  • At first glance we felt the same way. Truth is, once you've been around it once it is really very easy to operate.

  • looks interesting, i was considering the Bugera 6262 but i will definitely be looking at this amp as well...

  • i have this model but with out the stompbox feature but i love it anyway i use the delay all the time its sweet!!!!!!

  • what watt is this one?? 75?? or 30??

  • It is the 75 watt

  • To you guys who arent sure, theres videos out there demonstrating the Krankenstein (Dimebag) which sound very heavy. It does more than just classic sounding rock. Great character tones on this amp.

  • I'm sold. I'm so over the Line 6's. This seems like a much better choice in the price range.

  • What kind of guitar is that? It looks cool.

  • Its a G & L SC2
