How come that within 20 years of peace, those so-called artists are not able to write their own songs? I guess copying other's works it's far earsier than to make one's own brain works! And fyi too, the artists from the golden area wrote about 2000 songs before the collapse of the country. They are indeed real artists! One billion applauses to them and thank you! I maintain what I said :Preah Sovath and co. are indeed stupid.

I am so speechless but from what you have said right there is so true. Now a days all you hear is every songs is mostly either have the same lyrics with different beats or same beat with different lyrics in khmer karoke. It's like listening to a radio on back to back rerun.

I haven't said that khmers are stupid but I said that because of a bunch of those so-called singers, they make khmers look stupid to the whole world. Hope this time you'll get the point.

When I say singers, I've meant the new ones like Preah Sovath, that "so-called artist" above and co. "FYI, Khmers have way too many songs of their own". Yes, you're right but those songs are from the golden voices' area.

Oops I meant "Khmer singers". Anyway since you clarify and it is more specific than your last comment, I have to give you credit. I'm glad you knew the fact. You as well as myself are entitled to our opinions. Therefore, I have no saying regarding to what you think, but just would like to share mine since my nose is already in it. :)

Part 2:

Although, I am not a big fan of many new Khmer singers such as Preap Sovath, I still give props to them. I'm sure they have tried their best to come up with their own as well (They probably already have some, but we just don't know it since we aren't their fans). I thank them for trying their best in keeping us Khmers entertained. That is still art and talent. Just not up to Sinn Sisamouth's level.

Part 3:

Since we lost Sinn Sisamouth, one of our most precious and proud treasures of Cambodia, Preap Sovath and many other new singers are the only ones we have for now until mother Cambodia reproduces more of Sinn Sisamouth and Ros Serey Sothea kinds.

Until then, we Khmers should learn to appreciate and be more positive about it. Without them, there would be less entertainment for Khmers and many other supporters.

Khmers singers are a bunch of stupid people. They're not able to write or sing their own songs, just spend time copying other songs. A song reflects one own culture! Please stop making khmers look idiots to the whole world and please be more creative !

lumieresrei,you're a little too harsh on your opinion there. Khmers aren't stupid. Khmers are nice enough to show appreciation of the original works. That's why the song is still called Wo ai ni Obviously,its not in Khmer language isnt it.?.?. FYI, Khmers have way too many songs of their own. These particular songs aren't the only ones we Khmers have.I think it's okay to sing other people songs, because itll only help make them more famous. We sing their songs because we love their works.:)
