battered guitars are the fashion don't you know?! Willie Nelson plays one with a massive hole in it! especially with electric guitars, some are deliberately scratched to make it "vintage". anyway you don't want to go busking with a shining new guitar otherwise some crooks will probably beat your ass and steal it from you!
