This is not composed by Thyagaraja. It says murali lolam - composer is Balamurali Krishna and the song is in praise of Thyagara who composed countless songs. Gist of the meaning let us praise and salute to the great teacher Thayagaraja.

Both are maestros who have dedicated their lives to music. In my dads words - This can be the result of only lifelong sacrifice. We were lucky to host the maestro Dr BK at our home and it was a blessing in disguise to listen to him.

I saw them singing live again in 2005 I think. It was amazing, even though I like both forms of classical, I found Bhimsen Joshi simply outdid Dr Balamurali Krishna. Not, that Dr Balamurali claims otherwise. He openly claims that Panditji is the master :)

This raag is known as Sindhu Bairavi in Carnatic Classical and Bhairavi in Hindusthani Classical. Wonderful ! Fantastic !! Superb !!! Sindhu Bairavi is Saraswathi singing before u !!!!
