  • @UncleSlam81

Nope. This was "Piece of Pie" when the demo was recorded. It was re-written and re-recorded completely for Core. So, this and the one you are referring to are technically the same, this original concept was scrapped and redone though.

  • Wait this ain't no Piece Of Pie this has gotta be a different song

  • Woah, I actually liked a lot

  • Pretty cool.

  • God Damn, does absolutely NO one have the ORIGINAL STUDIO VERSION of this fucking song????

  • Rob's bass-line on this and the Core version is amazing...my favorite bass player by far.

  • Sounds like The Melvins/RHCP combined.

  • Van Halen doing the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is just a great song. What cd is this on...........is this and "only dying" before they got signed material thats not available or something. Scotts voice its not a meaty as it was before.............did he lose a testicle ??? Just joking........if I could sing like he does in Glide I would be a happy camper who works at a paper co. who act like sad abused children.

  • I wish Weiland still sounded like this.

  • Thanks for putting this, and the others, up. It's been pretty awesome listening to them all.

  • Why does everyone compare any funk sound to RHCP? This sounds more like Living Colour with a bit of Faith No More...

  • thank god they changed their sound

  • @blacktopaz8 eactly what I was thinking

  • YEAH !!!!!!!!!! xD

  • Hahah love this original version. The bass line was the only thing that lasted the test of time

  • Holy crap is this STP? If it werent for the brother's guitars I would have thought otherwise.

I miss Weiland's gruffier, old voice of core, heh.

  • @IdioZeRo This is a song from Core, just way different than the finished version.

  • any one have the lyrics to this?

  • rare

  • You know how a lot of people compare STP to PJ?

Well Eddie Vedder was in a California RHCP influenced band before Pearl Jam.

  • his from chicago

  • Yeah, but he lived in San Diego and sang in bands there from the mid 80's until joining Pearl Jam.

  • Oh ok cool but i think he was born in chitown too! lol;

  • @Aliceinchainhead no i thing he was born in northern cali, santa cruz

  • yes the band was called bad radio, the pj song "better man" was actually a bad radio cover

  • @alexfanx I don't think PJ had any influence on STP at all. The influences I hear are Zeppelin, the Beatles, Aerosmith, The Doors, Bowie.

Seriously, only ignoramuses think PJ and STP sound alike.

  • @alexfanx vedder california WTF?

  • Hardly a "daze"; this is funky shit! Thanks for sharing!

  • gr8,, but atleast they dont sound like anyone else in their first song.. even this song in core is so much heavier and STP'ish...

    well this aint bad anyways!!

  • Sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • you mean red hot chili peppers sound like this

  • This is better than a lot of stuff they put on their albums.

  • This is awesome, and I also love your username.

  • holy crap were do you get this? thanks for uploading.

  • Oh this is great! Thanks for the upload, Ingram :)

  • Hah... i love this version!!

havent heard it in awhile, thanks!
