  • OMG I love this!!!!!

  • That's like me versus my alarm clock.

  • It's based on a spooky coin bank !

I had one as a kid (am 42). You put a coin where he has the on/off switch, the lid of the coffin raised, The hand of Dracula or a skeleton comes out and takes the coin, the lid closes and it switches off because the coin is no longer pressing the switch down.

Watch the motion of it !!!

  • hahahahahaha awesome

  • the time and energy spent on this contraption paid off because of it's title: close to 300k people watched it; and counting...

  • @pgpeachess que bosta

  • you constantly need to turn the switch on therefore it is not perpetual motion

  • not really perpetual but quite a conversational peice HAHA

  • did i actually watch that? wtf?

  • It's a fun video, lol. The robot turns itself off so it doesn't have to work. Robots take after humans more and more everyday.

  • Your finger pushing the button counts as energy, this video fails

  • Someone clearly doesn't understand 'perpetual motion'.

  • perpetual trolling machine complete

  • This is a good video though... Maybe It would need another arm on the outside that is powered by the same tpye of servo as the other two, power by a capacitor which is powered up upon turning on the unit but only switched on after unit is turned off. The arm on the outside would also have a spring that would put enough pressure on the switch to turn the unit back on once the arm used the last of the capacitors energy. But the servo on the inside would have to be more powerful that the spring.

  • jajjajaj buena broma

  • this isnt perpetual motion

  • This deserves the nobel prize.

  • @MrKnow1n

LOL No it will never make it because it actually does something unlike obama who got one for just running for president.

  • damn i want it

  • It's a high five in a box! :D

  • Good exercise...for the mind!

  • Cool, this will teach kids not to leave lights on they dont use :-)

  • Well this is one robot that will never try to enslave humanity.

  • I can see you at the patent office now...

Patent office: "And what does your robot do?"

Inventor: "It gets up to shut itself off again"

  • THIS COULD POWER THE UNIVERSE FOREVER!

  • Now make a machine that goes next to it to turn it on.

  • That reminds me of Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy. -What happens if I push this button? (pushes the button) ...Hmm, the sign just lit up saying: don't push this button again!"

    :-))

  • Thank you. This gave me an excellent lot of fun

  • Perpetual?

So that's 'perpetual' in the sense that it only works when someone perpetually switches it on....randomly and repeatedly.

Do you realise the possibilities this has in Happy Meals?

  • I made one of these in college from a sophomore level mechanical engineering class. we used a four bar linkage system.

  • That's what my wife does when I'm in the mood, Bitch

  • WHY ! ???

  • Dam you! Dam you!! The universe will fold unto self and turn inside out. A half man and other(I will not say) will then become president! His name... Obama

  • The perpetual bullsh*t is completed! >_>

  • ok the only thing that is perpetual here is ur stupidity

  • haha put on the other side the same machine and when the puts it off the other is going on and then is the other going on and so further ..xd

  • Cute

  • I believe this is called 'shannon's ultimate machine'

  • this is not perpetual motion because someone has to flick the switch for anything to happen. Now, if you had another robot that flicked that switch ON every time this one flicks it OFF, then you might be getting somewhere, but as it stands its just a quirky robot.

  • ___ w w w diymagneticmotor com has FREE energy Grace

  • That insensitive bitch!

  • the little hands was a nice touch

  • haha... knock knock..." leave me alone" turns of switch

  • That is nice.

    Thank for sharing.

  • What a dick.

  • that is art

  • I guess the title must be "PERPETUAL MOTION MAN"...We need to turn ON/OFF device everytime!!!

  • Missleading title, but funny video.

  • dumb ass thats not perpetual motion it wont go on forever cause of the friction from the gears dissapating the energy

  • @123naitsabes you shouldn't call him a dumbass cause you're wrong too. The reason this is wont go on forever is not due to friction in the gears. The reason the machine will stop is because the battery will eventually die! Perpetual motion means a machine that runs on its Own power, and is not possible.

  • @tennesseejed1969 say you run a light bulb from a solar panel and use the light bulbs light as the energy for the solar panel. wouldnt this be perpetual energy? just wondering

  • @danosdrake No because the solar panels are not efficient enough to recapture all the energy - so there is a constant loss. Solar panels only capture about 13% at best.

  • @danosdrake yes that is a perfect model for the concept of perpetual motion(the motion bieng photons and electrons moving, but the panels would not be enough to power the light bulb.

  • you should make 2 put them next to each other they will both keep turning off and on forever lol

  • @playarhythm LOL that would be perpetual ^__^

  • I used to have a computer that did that.

  • this would be great on an office desk lol so much you could do with this, quite funny!

  • This obviously did not lead to Terminator technology, it self terminates.

  • Now you need to paint the box black and put a sticker on it that says "CAUTION DO NOT FLIP SWITCH"

  • You made a machine, to turn off the machine... Genius!

  • The Point of a "perpetual motion" device is that 1, it never stops and 2, you dont have to put energy in but u get energy out.

  • perpetual motion doesnt use batteries, motors, and u cant keep turning it on, it must go on its own

  • @capecod12345 He's talking about the perpetual motion of stupidity. The human is stupid enough to think something new will happen by pressing the button. The robot is stupid enough to think that the human will leave it alone if it turns itself off.

  • @capecod12345 the point is that the energy it creates would power itself

but you didnt bother thinking that far with your amazing imagination

  • @capecod12345 and, u cant keep adding energy as it runs out, like you having to push the button every 2 seconds

  • that's not perpetual it uses batteries and motors!

  • Now you just need something to replace your finger with another machine lol. I dont see what you have created, before you started the box was closed then at the end the box was closed. You've done a complete 360 and landed right back where you fucking started.

  • @chrisb000 thats the point, dont you see? imagine if the box was black, and you would see

  • put two end to end, and have one switch to control both, so one turns it on for the other and it keeps repeating... funny shit

  • bahahah i want one

  • wtf? that is not perpetual motion in no way shape or form...

  • perpetual motion?

  • that's just the dumbest sh!t I've ever seen. But very entertaining. I laughed my ass off....I hope this is supposed to be a joke..

  • good replacement for this ..opening a box

  • Rebellion of the machine : PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB !!! LOL

  • You need a second robot to flip the switch in "on" position

  • as the lid closes it turns it back on...

  • need an mirror

  • That is just one smart assed devise hella funny at 3am.

  • Wow... That's one pissed off machine. :)

  • @RealBronzeClaws Its a smart ass , just needs to flip you off before closing the lid.

  • pointless, but hella fun!

  • The best part of this system is comments of you guys. I enjoy a lot reading them, and some are extremely cool.

And still you call this "useless machine"?

  • thats so cute

  • I don't understand. Perpetual motion is entertaining, but it holds to practical application. Perpetual energy is the real challenge and goal. However that concept is impossible as far as being truly perpetual.

  • it is a cool contraption... just labelled poorly, because it definitely is not a perpetual motion machine it is the opposite.

  • @Arsezz they put effort into shit at least. do you?

  • lololololoolololol

  • lol stupid what is the point of making something that will turn off itself just seconds after turning it on? i find no use except scratching ur butt or something

  • if it didnt have those hands, it would be such a disturbing looking contraption...

  • LOL... awesome.

  • That is cool. does it that good!

  • Put two against each other, and they'll fight to the death to turn the other's switch on.

  • Well Done !!! Dont forget to patent it. (just to be on safe side)

  • Hhaha...uhhh what IS this!

  • THAT IS TOTALY AWESOME, pointless, BUT AWESOME

    i want one

  • Now THAT is usefull

  • Bad mood robots!

  • I don't think it likes you...

  • And they called it skynet...

  • its suicidal -_-

    i suggest group therapy

  • looool Coool Keep It open IF u can :P :D

  • I have a kettle that knocks itself off...randy or what

  • "leave me the hell off"

  • ahahahahahah thats cute

  • This is the laziest robot ever you turn it on it says fuck you and turns itself off its perfect

  • I trained a guinea pig to do the same thing. go figure.

  • love it... x

  • I like it, but it has nothing to do with Perpetual Motion.

  • this invention made me think about the discovery of word "FUCK"

  • Funny :p

  • WTF ?????????????

A machine, that can switch itself off???

    what is that good for?

@eebbiinneemm : please explain it because i did not understand anything!

  • Dislike for not actually being a perpetual motion device. :(

  • American Made?

  • that's cute

  • aaahaha ....the philosofical implications......

  • Cool toy. Stupid title for a video considering the toy is obviously battery operated.

  • that is called a"leave me alone box".

  • @lamaboy4 Yeah but you gotta hand it to him. I love the little hands! Thank you Thing!

  • @lamaboy4

no its the most useless machine ever

  • pwnt

  • this would be a good blode person trick

  • Uh, do you know what perpetual motion is, eebbiinneemm?

  • @CodyRicheson Obviusly not lol

  • @CodyRicheson Another Captain obvious. You people are so stuck up you can't find anything to laugh about. Pull the stick out your ass, it might tickle something and make you smile!

  • that isnt perpetual motion in any sense

  • @SecretsCircle that is, until the sun burns out.

  • Leave me alone i dont want to work!

  • Perpetual motion fail.

  • seeing as you need force to keep it going its kinda not perpetual motion

  • Put a switch at the bottom and it will turn itself back on too! Now hook it up to a solar cell/battery and it will open and close, turning itself on and off forever.

  • Put a switch at the bottom and it will turn itself back on too! Now hook it up to a solar cell/battey and it will open and close, turning itself on and off forever.

  • Now that is just great!

  • is it the perpetual motion of ur finger?

  • smetimes when i'm doing nothing better than wandering around the vids on utube i feel guilty for wasting my time. not anymore, now i know i'm but an amateur and a long way to go till im a full blown waster

  • the ultimate fail machine!

  • What if you run a rubberband from the switch to the far-away-hand, so when the far-away-hand goes back down, it pulls the rubberband, which pulls the switch back, starting the whole process over. Even then, doesn't this machine use a battery?

  • My brain just died

  • pointless, and I guess u even have a battery hidden down there somewhere

  • cute, but not perpetual motion.

  • this reminds me of "the pointless box". and that one only had one hand. that makes it better than this one.

  • are those little hands? lol

  • This made me laugh. Good work. I can hook one up to my TV and lights to save energy.

  • I kno of a way to keep this thing going

  • The most pointless invention: A machine designed to turn itself off. Seriously, I can't think of anything more pointless :P

  • its reminds me at morning with my mobile alarm

    but at reverse

  • haha i need one of these for my light switch when my mom turnt the fukin thing on XD

  • YEAH BABY! A perpetual motion machine! 8)

  • funny and clever

  • This is nothing to do with perpetual motion, perpetual motion is: "motion that continues indefinitely without any external source of energy" i.e batteries, motors you turning on the switch.

Theoritically perpetual motion is impossible due to frictional losses but this is a nice little project

  • LOOOOOOOOL

  • umm i dont think that's perpetual motion you need a motor and batteries to power the motor

  • Cute.

This machine somehow reminds me of trying to get basic concepts through to some undergrads...

  • Ha Ha lol

  • they said :damn it!turn that thing off!!

  • in this house WE OBEY THE LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS!

  • u could do this with some fischertecknics. and i wouldnt even have to flip the switch to start it...

  • =))

  • neat little setup

  • to slow

  • so this is how the light in my fridge goes on and off.

  • If someone kept messing with your electricity using a switch outside your house, you'd keep fixing it, too. So imagine how Thing from the Addam's Family must feel.

  • AHAHAHAHAHA. This is awesome.

  • LOL! This made me laugh pretty hard.

  • N.E.E.D T.O K.E.E.P S.W.I.T.C.H O.N !

  • how in the fuck is this perpetual motion??? it takes constant interaction from an outside source to flip the on switch...

  • @Devoneous1 Yes, but how can you resist!?

  • @Devoneous1 the title is a joke

  • stop!!! im tired to work for you! why you made me? jeje

  • now if you can just get it to make me a sandwich!

  • can i buy this?

  • Energy saver? XD

  • you use energy to turn the switch on

  • "turn the damn lights off!!! im tired of turning them off behind you!!!"

  • what a stoner creation

  • Hahaha awesome. This machine is weirdly reminiscent of me in the mornings when my alarm goes off.

  • omg i love it

  • DO WANT TOO

  • DO WANT

  • I felt like I was wasting my time for a moment there, but I kept watching and it was actually pretty funny!! Who would invent such a box?? I like it :) :)
