@crazyman7000 that's because polaris are always winning races either on lakes or straightaways :) cats are just always in the garage. (my bad experience with arctic cat :[ )
ahaha that sucks when that happens, i was driving in a ditch with my 200fs yamaha blaster and my friend slammed his brakes cus he seen a culvert and i didnt no and i ended up ramping his back tire on his dirtbike, pushing him forward at about 60km/h just enough so that my back tire hit the culvert causing me to get thrown directly to the ground and rolling ontop my back then having to watch my quad to do a front flip in the air right over top of my buddies dirtbike, and smash me in the face.
i lucky had a full face helmet. i made out with a broken throttle, dislocted nose(which i snapped into place before my adrenaline died down causing me to feel the pain), a 1" cut across my nose that goes all the way threw to the other side. very epic crash, lucky to be alive. i now have a scar on my nose that goes all the way threw to the other side. helmets save lives girls and boys.
Netefrog, you are just a dye hard Yam fan. GTFO with that shit. Ski-doo is number 1 and will always be. It's about how you take care of your sled. If you don't like ski-doo's don't watch a video with a ski-doo in it.
Anybody who says Ski-Doo doesn't make the best sleds in the business is either jealous, or just a plain idiot that's never ridden one. The REV-XP platform is rediculously light and strong. Virtually unbeatable.
the fact that the engines keep blowing up is not acceptable.
I'm all for getting the weight of the sleds down but not if it means that a 12k brand new sled is going to warp, bend and eventually break sooner than it should because the strengh of the frame has been compromised to loose weight.
Ski-Doo may have the wool pulled over most peoples eyes, but the few sledders that are also mechanically inclined know better.
Im a brp lover and the thing is... the old rev was trhe sled... they can put anny combonation of partds on that chasis to make it do whatever you want
and it was light
the xp was just an atemt (that is being refined) at being the nnest allaround sled like they did in 03-04 with the rev.... the xp is a racing seld... buy it, race it, break it and start all over agian...
Yep, you hit the nail on the head............I'm not taking anything away from there fun factor, but there deff not the sled for me and there deff not a good trail sled.
No wind protection= cold hands and fogged up visor....too much ski lift=inability to turn=introducing your front bumper too a tree.........;(
Well I'm on Ski Doo forums quite a bit and I've never heard anybody complain about the REV-XP being too weak. The REV-XP is still the best sled on the tracks right now, whenever they get beat it's usually because of the better rider on the other sled.
Again like I've said to so many others..it doesn't matter what wins on race tracks...are you a snocross racer??..didn't think so..you probobly ride the trails just like me and for us trail riders that end up being hundreds of miles from home what is the most important factor???...without a doubt it is reliability...and I'll tell you something, together everybody I ride with have prob owned 30 sleds 2-stroke or 4 stroke and Yamaha has always been #1 in reliability and flawless fit and finish!!
And when I say i doesn't matter what happens on snocross tracks.....I understand that many innovations have been created over the years through racing experience but the bottom line is that the average moderate/aggressive trail rider doesn't want/need a Snocross sled, the average moderate/aggressive trail rider wants/needs a reliable, solid and powerfull trail sled, with fit and finish second to none.......and that my friend is where Yamaha shines.....
Why would you even say that.......what do you do??? spend your whole weekend trying to get up the side of a mountain with your sled.......oh yay sounds like a really big waste of time......you don't have any vids..do you even own a sled???
Ya there are alot of people out there that have no mechanical inclenation, and therefore they don't/can't properley maintain there machines, but it helps to have a good quality sled to start out with and unfortunatley ski-doo has fallen behind the times in the reliability department..it is no longer acceptable to have a sled break down 3 to 4 times in a season, those days are done..also a guy shouldn't have to spend his every waking moment maintaining/upgrading his sled so it doesn't blow up.
I have a Mach 1 670 with rebuilt engine 3200 Kms ago. Never let me down ONCE!, so I have to thumb you down for that one bud. Their newer stuff is even better
Its only what I see with my own eyes.........alot of the guys I ride with ride Ski-Doo and most of them are very open about the fact that Ski-Doo lacks a little bit in the reliability department, but there just Die-Hard Ski-Doo guys so they won't buy anything else......I think if there Quality Control ever catches up to there R&D they will be the best in the bizz......but for now no way.
I have a 1996 ski-doo grand touring and I just tune it up whenever I get board. Only problem I have ever had is a snapped ripcord and some fowled spark plugs. They are reliable sleds. Its just that it is so tempting to kick the crap outa them with all the speed and suspension.
I'm not even talking about aggressive riding. Just through the course of normal trail riding it seems they don't last. From what I see people get 3500-5000 miles out of them and thats it, it's all down hill from there especially the newer 800's. The old 670's and 583's were better...
Wow what a waste great vid bro jk
