all you do to do this is split the track into individual sterio tracks invert the track set them both to mono and there you go

i can get this effect aswell all u do is wen ur listening to a song through earphones u just slighty pull them out and wiggle it till u get the effect. i used to do it when listening to RHCP so i could hear john sing =P

Haha I just discovered that a couple days ago. I listen to Prayer all the time when I do that because it's like a perfect, clean instrumental except when it hits the chorus I can hear a second vocal track of David they put under the main vocal track. There's a lot of things you can discover you thought wouldn't be in a song by doing that or just using Audacity.

I used a program called Audacity to cancel out most of the vocals, it can't remove them completely though. Deal with it

Actually, I think the minimal you can hear the voice enhances the song, it gives it even more of the haunting feeling that the original did. Besides in the original I personally believe the lead singer went abit louder than needed, his voice is a bit stronger than needed for a softer song like this. This way there is a distance that such darkness would portray. That is my opinion though.
