Hello Manjula mam, I just have one question: as I've never been able to work out the 'cup' system, do you know roughly how many grams/milimetres one cup is?
Just wanted to thank you Manjula......I have tried so many of your recipes....and my fiance' who is from India loves everything Ive made........all thanks to you......When we return to India I will cook for his family all of your recipes............thanks again.....
Manjula, you are awesome. I have a question for anyone who knows: Is "Sooji" basically the same thing as "Malt O Meal" or "Cream of Wheat"? Isn't it all SEMOLINA or FARINA? I don't live close to an Indian market so if I could use that stuff it would be great.
Lovely recipe. I just love your videos. I cook for my two adopted Indian children. They are from Chennai and I do not want them to become so American.
I have been making Sooji Ka Halwa for long time, with much consistency. I figured out what I was missing (Sheera, mixing water and sugar). Thanks again Majula Aunty. Me and my wife are huge fan of your cooking...
I followed your recipe; and I am enjoying a warm plate of the Halva right now. I had only tried it cold before, but this stuff is absolutely delicious hot or cold. Thanks again!
I learned to make it the same way from a Pakistani friend of mine, except instead of white sugar she used brown pure cane sugar, and milk instead of water, and sultana raisins.
I luv indian sweets soooo much and i am an indian tooooooo......but its fullll of butter, sugar and milk.....! And, I am already occupying half of the earth's space.....how do i resist these wonderful and delicious sweets?!!!

Dear Aunty Manju, thanks sooo very much for this reciepe, it turned out great & we are now enjoying the taste of Pakistani Seeraa Puri in Sydney, Australia.
Thank you for sharing. I love halva, I've never tasted the Indian type (I'm Iranian, we usually make it with flour, saffron, and more butter/oil). Sooji halva sounds tasty, if sooji and semolina are the same ingredient I'm able to try it :)
Thanks a lot for your time and putting these beautiful receipies.
