  • Pity the target is an old M114 APC from the 1960s, those are quite rare and valuable as well...

  • according to the BATFE all muzzle loading firearms are considered curios and relics, not firearms (funny eh?) Thus it is completely legal to own your own muzzle loading gun or artillery piece without notifying your local law enforcement. man do I love America

  • This is the kind of weapon that over came brick and mortar forts; they could target a very specific spot and hit repeatly till wall was shot thru. The smoothbore cannon were not capable of such accurate shooting.

  • Renactments are generally silly affairs and we tend to regard 18th and 19th century blackpowder weapons as primitive and arcane, but seeing a 19th century cannon firing live projectiles is as scary as anything modern. The guys that were part of Picketts Charge faced this??? Christ!!!! I shit my pants just watching this.

  • thats pretty awesome

  • diddnt one of these lose the first battle of Manassas?

  • If you had asked a southerner of that time he probably would have agreed with you that the North lost the battle of Manassas,, but if you would have asked a northerner of the same era he would have said the North lost the battle of Bull Run. ;)

  • how much charge did you use for this?

  • They were called rifles to distinguish them from smoothbores.

  • that be a cannon not a rifle

  • Nice gunnery.

  • What type of shell were you guys using? have you tried shooting grape or canister shot?

  • Did I notice a cascabel on this Parrot? I know that a 30lb Parrot would be too small for naval use.

  • The 30 pdr Parrott Rifle was used on ships. The USS Susquehanna (as of December 1865) mounted two XI Dahlgrens on pivot carriages, twelve IX Dahlgrens in the broadside, one 30 pdr Parrott Rifle and two 12 pdr Rifles. If the Susquehanna mounted the 30 Pdr, then I´m pretty sure that it was mounted on other Naval Ships also.

  • What flag was that on top of the building? Couldn't get a good look at it but I can probably guess. I just want to hear you say it before I retort.

  • that wasent a building that was a tank

  • If it is a white flag its probly the french

  • My boys use live ammo sometimes, but not with a huge gun like that. We use 3" Ordnance rifles and a Mountain Howitzer.

  • bout time someone used live ammunition in a demo
