Click on any Schwartz's videos pay notice to the seats ...there all full. Ya its a smaller place but so is montreal to New york by how many millions of people? I'm taking my girlfriend to montreal thats never been Notre dame Schwartz for 2 pounds of smoked meat. Fresh honey water bagels bottle of wine and chesse and a trip on top of mount royal over looking montreal

Nearly fifteen bucks for a sandwich? That's ridiculous. In its favor, though, I'll say that the construction of the NY one in the video is far better than the Schwartz sandwich. In Montreal they give you like, a pound of smoked meat, a paintbrush full of mustard, and then slap it on a flimsy piece of bread, only to cleave it apart with their knife, disassembling any semblence of a "sandwich" and making a real fucking mess. Tradition or not, it may have taste, but no artistry.

By far Schwartz's is the best... OMG they are SO Great!!! and their pickles are so great @ Schwartz's... love the history there. Every one from Pierre Trudeau, Hemmingway, to Bill Clinton has been there in Montreal!

@slank7 I haven't had it all over the world but Schwartzs' meats are a must-have if you are in Montreal. The pastrami is moist, a little smokey, savory and plentiful. Wash it down with a couple bottles of cold Molson and you are all set for the evening.
