  • Hmm looks way to fast for a big animal like a triceratops. You may want to consider using a rhino walk or hippo for referrence. Slow it down to one step per second add some weight to the stride. Good luck.

  • @mothersmucker1 If I were to re-do it again I would probably slow it down a bit and it might would look better in a trot as oposed to a gallop, but that just an asthetic choice. Based on the skull shape this wouldn't be a fully grown adult and no one yet has scientifically tried to simulate a ceratopsian. I can't really say if it is actually too fast or not.

  • @mothersmucker1 I think that peoples image of big animals moving is biased by rhinos and especially elephants and this causes people to slow down big animals too much. Many large dinos have anatomy better suited for running for example. What also bothers me with many animations of big dinos is when they have the feet crashing into the ground trying to make them look like they have mass. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you with Triceratops though.

  • Do I know

  • It looks wrong for the triceratops to land on its ankles that way, but what dp

  • @aronchai It's been a while since I have looked at this animation, I agree there is 'somthing' off about it.

It's not really landing on it's ankles but there is a mistake in that it's landing with it's feet flat.

To be fair, it was done in a rush and designed to be able to run on an Iphone, so it had to have as few keyframes as possible.

  • When will u make a medium poly cycle?
