I saw the Mamas & Papas twice in Chicago at McCormick Place. I saw Cass at Mr Kelly's, also in Chicago. I was there when they recorded the "Don't Call Me Mama Anymore" album.
I also saw the new Mamas & Papas with John, Denny, Mackenzie and Spanky McFarland. Spanky and Cass were old friends from the folkie days in the 1960s in Chicago. Just coincedentally, my older son was conceived the night Cass died. I have visited Cass's grave here in Los Angeles.
This song is MY favorite from the 1st lp. I never knew she felt the same way. She's fearless on this, giving us vulnerability and soaring ecstacy both. I don't know know of too many singers who could handle this song.
I wish she didnt pass....I love her! I think the world would be different with her........and the world is sad with out her!!!!!!! RIP Mama Cass!!!!!!!!!!
Awww her and her daughter Owen.

Oh God! I haven't heard this song in thirty years. I forgot how powerful it is.
I am a big Mamas and Papas fan. I saw them twice in person and saw Cass live only once.
