@MrJosiebhoy Agreed, we were just overcome though & despite Rangers getting the SPL that very w`end the Celtic fans were, & are, something else. Sad days but friendship won, we stayed @ that hotel in the rail station & had a truly memorable time and as the 3 of us were around 18 at the time you can imagine the crack!!
I was at this game too. My P.E. teacher Mr Galloway got me a ticket. Never forget it and pleased to see the footage on here. Brings back a lot of memories, good and sad. It's a shame though that, after reading some of the posts, bigots had to write message's on here. You would think, with something like this, they would leave well alone. God bless the 96. YNWA
I think it's really sad when a tribute is posted commemorating a tragic event turns into tit for tat abuse. Hillsborough, Heysel, Munich and other tragedies, football related or not, should not be used to mock the grieving parties. Unfortunately there are a select few out there who do not make up the majority, who antagonise & create a hostile atmosphere with their poor taste quips and gestures prompting others to reciprocate and justify their actions by blaming the initial taunt.
@ SINOW, just read your comment , i was on the bus fae the bells also, we picked up a load of liverpool supporters on route tae paradise , do you know james devlin? i also rememeber the filthy orange cunts came running out that hole the louden tavern tae attack the buses, ANIMALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was at the game as an 18 year old lad with the bells supporters club fae springburn, i took my liverpool supporting pal up the road fae corby, what an emotional day it was, does anyone remember the 2 stewards fighting cause one of them walked over a flag?
@aggyuvf For a guy who has the term uvf (a group who butchered innnocent catholics) in your name you have some cheek. I have NEVER heard any song about the Ibrox disaster sung by Celtic fans at a game. Please prove me wrong by refering me to proof? No? More mud slinging from Scotland's true shame, the bigots of Ibrox.
What annoys me is that football grounds had to become all seater. Hillsbrough should have changed grounds with regards to standing not got rid of them. The police need to take a lot of the blame.
Thats bad, I just get annoyed because the media potray Liverpool fans as angels. They've not been at Anfield getting bags of shit at you when you hear "shit on the munichs."
were not angels, we all have scumbags in our clubs, put please...Anfield isn´t the only place when u got things thrown at u. Almost every game at OT for the last 30 years u lot have been as aggresive as ours. My fucking mate got his face slashed up with a fucking bottle four years ago.

Fans should also be aware the munich song came about in 1989! when united fans made up the song, 96 wasn't enough. Only then did liverpool fans retaliate with the munich song in 89.
@JMUFC1 i wont deny that spirit of shankley event ( which makes me sick as a liverpool supporter) but alot of the munich songs and chants etc comes from leeds fans more so than liverpool

I know you may have biased feelings towards your teams being friendly- i do with my own situation but i have to let it go to be honest as i know everyone doesn't have the same feelings as me particularly in my instance.
You saying you wish the stand to fall is just as bad. The people that do that are not true football fans, believe me, it is not something i, or any decent person would want to be associated with.
See, i would never actively do that because i have history within that event. But, yous go on about the dead from our side of things as well, for years and years and years actually.
What am saying is, i think you have to detach your personal views on your teams, and appreciate this gesture from Celtic towards Liverpool- the main reason why there is good feeling between them.
I have had to do that with Celtic and my team who i follow. You have to take into account that not everyone follows the same suit. I have to say i don't think that Liverpool sway one way tbh. They are themselves.
You cant say anythin considerin you sing about deaths. Nobdy that supports OF can
That doesn't mean all of their support feel the same as him about all that stuff, or that they can't be friendly with Celtic.

Also remember Dalglish coming of the bench and scoring but I am sure we let him score to be honest. YNWA - Hail Hail

I knew that. What can you say. There are no words. What the hell is happening when a ten year old can go to a game to watch his heroes and not got back home?
Good lad, Beatleboy. Yes, the stadiums nothing like it once was, as shown in this video. Memories eh? In fact, whenever u see Celtic Park on tv now, its filmed from the opposite stand that you see in this video. The area where the directors box is seen here, thats where the cameras now film from on Setanta etc. And yes, Liverpool did roll right over Celtic, but this game wasn't about scores etc. God bless Celtic & Liverpool, forever, ameen.

JFT96.
You'll never walk alone, Celtic/Liverpool .
