  • golden eagle exemplies the perfect evoluation of succeful raptors

  • WOAH .."that was beutiful(:

  • Very inspirational !

  • didnt know that they have such long legs.. O.o

  • @mag0024, right? lol and muscular at that

  • @TheCJtoon Nope, that's a golden eagle. Golden eagles also have white patches on the wings and tail. Juvenile bald eagles are larger and blacker than the golden eagle, and bald eagles in general have a larger beak and different beak shape (designed to fillet fish), than the golden eagle.

  • @sammyhill69 The size difference between the two species is irrelevant and cannot be taken as an argument in order to differenciate the two. The subspecies Aquila chrysaetos daphanea matches in size the biggest bald eagles. Apart from colour, another important aspect that should be taken in consideration is the length of the leg feathers, which go down all the way to the tallons on a golden eagle, whereas in bald eagles they don't cover the entire leg.

  • @Sorvos however, we both agree that this is a golden eagle!

  • @sammyhill69 Absolutely! ;)

  • Magnifico

  • No. No they don't.

  • AMAZING

  • Have you seen the petition against poisoning eagles in Eire, on The Golden Eagle Trust website? Sea-eagles were reintroduced to Scotland after centuries of persecution eradicated them there. They are being poisoned again in Scotland (law-suit in progress, I believe). Eagles of both sorts reintroduced from Norway and Scotland are poisoned in Ireland. Please help to change this barbaric way of thinking, sign the petition and spread the word. Thanks - on behalf of these magnificent birds.

  • the white tailed sea eagle from scottland,is it still endangered?? XD!!

  • Yes. They are being poisoned (by a minority of land-owners) in both Ireland and Scotland. They are much loved by most of the rest of society. A golden eagle was poisoned last month, probably on the same investment-banker's estate as a sea eagle last year. She was only 2 years old and had been satellite-tracked since birth. Do a search for ' Alma golden eagle poisoned' and you will see the sad story. We have to change this brutal way of thinking in the 21st century.

  • video like this is why i do what it is i do

  • If there really is a rebirth,a reincarnation or an afterlife,i wish to come back to life as a golden eagle.

  • two things I need to say, first, man look at those legs! second, how did that eagle fly with its wings aren't spread out at 0:03 to 0:10?

    Wow birds are amazing. =)

  • Yeah I was wondering the same about the legs!! The wings thing I can answer a bit though. Most of the lift is generated by the inboard part of the wing. The outer area is primarily for thrust and flight control. Since the eagle was flying so fast it could afford to bring the wings in even more. Peregrine are the best example of this when they're stooping on prey ... the wings are barely held out at all. Hope this helps. :) Graeme.

  • holy crap those talons are huge

  • someone smart please help me

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TALK TO ME XU

  • lol long legs!!!!

  • Holy shit look at that bird it's fucking awesome, u can tell it;s thinking: "LOOK AT ME FAGS, I'M A GODDAMN EAGLE, AND I DON'T GIVE A FUCK HAHAHAH SUCK ON MY TALONG BITCH."

  • I love eagles, it's my favourite animal, they are so beautiful and I wish I could have one as my pet.

  • @Delina1993 then become a bird breeder and register for it, you need a huge aviary, and the right feeding for it though, I actually have a feather from 1 today, its the same length as my arm lol

  • @Delina1993 if you really like them , let them fly free

  • @Delina1993 same here. I LOVE bald eagles..... Your native smerican animal totem/spirit guide is probably a golden eagle. Mines a bald eagle

  • @Delina1993 You probably actually can. Where are you from?

  • lol. This bird looks funny when it flies.

  • look at the legs on that bird man damn

  • that's a fucking huge bird

  • Beautiful looking bird.

  • beautiful. They are so graceful.

  • ı love you

  • nice

but have u seen the harpy eagle? its talons are bigger tham my hand open or closed

its the biggest birdofprey of the world!

  • Philippine eagle is the largest in terms of external measurements... Harpy eagle has a thicker legs and longer hind talons however the Philippine eagle is taller, has a much longer legs and claws averaging 145-150 mm compared to Harpy's 121-125 mm and wider wing span.

  • actually if u google it... the harpy eagle is the largest bird of prey in the world not the philippine eagle.

  • The Andean Condor is the largest birds of prey in the world although some earlier authorities suggesting that the New World vultures are more closely related to storks family ( Cathartidae) and not related to eagles.

Harpy Eagle is considered the largest eagle in terms of bulk or weight however the Philippine eagle supassess Harpy eagle in size; it's taller, longer tarsus, larger bill and largest surface-wing area.

  • actually u wrong the condor is not a bird of prey,

but is the largest bird in the world..

they dont eat alive animals they eat deadstuff and they have a´´finger´´[not sure whats the word in enghish] separated from the others like chikens, and Urubus(King Vulture)

so becoz of that condors are not considered birds of prey.,.

  • and as national geografic said the harpy eagle is the bigets birdofprey in the world

i jst seen another doc 2 weeks ago..

unless national geografic lies to each country,,, i think they are right,

there are harpy eagles in the amazon known to prey on children!

thats right children from the natives!

  • Philippine eagles preys on monkeys, colugos, large snakes like cobra, pythons and monitor lizards, horn bills, owls, a documented 14 kg deer, that'e right a 30 lb deer cervus! sometimes even domectic animals such as small pigs, goats and dogs.

    Source: Threatened birds of ASIA

  • So as the Philippine eagle, the african crowned eagle have also reported taking small children, Don't be amazed! It's nothing new because small children looks like monkeys in shape and size of which the eagles are favourite prey.

  • Andean Condor is the largest birds of prey in the world. (Read between the lines!) Although some earlier authorities suggesting that the New World vultures are more closely related to storks family ( Cathartidae) and not related to eagles.

  • More recent authorities maintain their overall position in the order Falconiformes along with the Old World Vultures[8] or place them in their own order, Cathartiformes. The South American Classification Committee has removed the New World Vultures from Ciconiiformes and instead placed them in Incertae sedis, but notes that a move to Falconiformes or Cathartiformes is possible.

  • Wrong dude!!! Ostrich is the largest bird in the world! Harpy eagle is the largest eagle in terms of bulk, Philippine eagle is the largest eagle in size. In zoology the heaviest means the largest and the heaviest eagle by far is the Steller's sea Eagle on average it weigh 15-20 lb.

  • ostrich???

we talking about BIRDS THAT FLY!!!!

  • You were the one who indicated the 'largest bird' and ostrich is a bird and also the most powerful on earth, A kick from an ostritch can cripple a lion or even kills it. Largest eagle to be precise coz' there are many species of Birds or even raptors-birds of prey. Steller's sea eagle is the largest in the world 'coz, it's the HEAVIEST eagle,on average 15-20 lb and Not the Harpy eagle. Philippine eagle is the largest in external measurements.

  • yeah yeah..

  • The biggest flight bird that lives today is the black albatross I think you'll find, big head.

  • superb predator excelent bird my favorite

  • Be a one of the nicest animals. Thanks for share!

  • Nice pants.

  • I like it

  • sexy

  • this is mexico's national bird

  • Oops! I guess it needs to be bald to be America's National Bird, aye?

  • Besides Bald eagle is not a true eagle. Golden eagle is, though

  • Nice video. Shows the majesty of Americas National Bird.

  • which america are you talking about, because the america i know of has the bald eagle as its national bird
