Hey, I found this magazine on the metro in paris nearby where peter lives now, full of stories and poems. Apparently it was something that he had done, all in english though experiments with french. It has a site on the internet, though it won't let me write the link so use your imagination...

if you like peter's stuff i think you'll love this...
@tooeyotoole1 yeah mate i was in paris for a few weeks and i saw the same article. i think it was because he had a gig coming up, at le zenith i think. Its good to know sumone else saw it. spot on mate. pete is the closet thing we have to a modern day jim morrison.
Yes, This song was written in the libertines era. In the babyshambless session when pete sing "if you still alive when you're a 25 should i kill like you ask me to" Carl interrupts and say "I never ask you that" :P
@JasySykes93 Hi! I know you wrote your comment a year ago - but I just read it and it was strange... a few weeks ago I wrote almost the SAME EXACT thing on - I think a video of him recording Salome! The very same thoughts dawned on me. I would buy the first cut with nothing but Peter, his guitar and something to record it with. I would rather have it exactly like it came out - no touch ups. (smiles!)
haha mick jones just pressed record...which he was very good at mind you, but the background to this takes it from a wonderful acoustic song to an explosive masterpiece...IMO.. just listen to an older version of this..its still awesome but all the background really helps create the mood and atmosphere that makes this song so unique im a bit biased though, i love doherty..
I disagree with you about the production. I think the album is beautifully produced and I keep hearing new things every time I listen.
I do agree that Mick Jones is better at producing the more rocking Babyshambles/libs side to Peter. Nothing matches his stripped down production of Death on the Stairs. Hopefully he can get a look in if the Libs ever re-form.
"If you're still alive, when you're 25, should I kill you?" Listened to this album so much but that line still makes me laugh. On his dvd he said he was thinking of changing that to 35, lol.
Best song ever

I think Pete doesn't need managers producers and all the stuff.
Listen to his songs..where he is just singing and playing the guitar.
It still sounds awesome.
Cause pete is so talented.
He doesn't need anything except his voice , guitar and lyrics.

although Jasy, Graham Coxon played almost all of the guitars on this album... ;-)

Yeah,maybe.
But there are a lot of performances and
other videos where he's just alone with his guitar.
And it sounds so awesome. :)
