when i was a kid and my dad and i would play tecmo bowl my dad would neglect and abuse my controller....((crying)) i never could get over the pain...lololol...great vid man
Awesome Concept for a video ... which more where giving away consoles they don't have a need for. Lol I have Test Drive 6 it came with my latest Dreamcast after my first got lost with all my moving.
Do you have any CDi's 3DO's CD32s, to spare?
People scalp us for buying those things. Just because the lack of sales make them rare oh and the CD32 only being released in Canada as NTSC goes.
i have my dreamcast they"re generally very well behaved and they love video games, music and browsering the net to. please..... some give that dreamcast a good home he deserves it
I Would love to make a video responce to this video, that poor dreamcast looks happy at the min but how will it feel when its owner discards him in future, if your ever lost Dreamcast you will always be welcome in my home were all Suffering consoles recover
i recently adopted my Sega Dreamcast just about 2weeks ago. It looks like it was abused, its missing the power button (but still powers on). I love it. But i sadly cannot find any games for it, or a VMU. :(
the Dreamcast is happy now, being next to the Wii, 360, and PS3, knowing its loved now. :)
@ComradeZX It should work fine. Just click in the comment box, then click on "Create a video response" (it will appear to the right of the comment box.) Do it!
To V.V.G.G. & all gamers: I'm a collector and I consider the Dreamcast the final frontier in classic consoles. The gaming world changed after the Dreamcast. Its Sega's last console and its virtually open source. We are still getting games for the Dreamcast every year from NGDEV TEAM. I wont be submitting a video since there are others who deserve it far more than I. Someone who cannot afford it or cannot easily get one in their country, will love the Dreamcast.
I like ozninja's entry,he just seemed a little more excited about the possibility of a dreamcast than the others (and the fact that he mentioned maintenance&that they are hard to come by in oz) : )
I have to say this is a great giveaway. I'm mad that I found one for a rather decent price. I have to say the dreamcast is my favorite system of all time. I was one of those people that just let it die I played it for years after sega stopped supporting it i played it till my dreamcast stopped working.
For the record, I am not looking for an entry into the contest. I have 3 Dreamcasts and I feel it would be much better for the system to go to a new home where he wil have much more use.
i would gladly help you out with that poor system it breaks my heart to see such potential going to waste people out there need to remember a dreamcast is for life not just for Christmas but alas im from the uk and been a USA system im afraid the folk on this small island are very prejudice towards things they don't understand and life here for a non pal dreamcast would be a very tricky life
I would love to provide this orphaned dreamcast a new home and the love that he deserves, but what if one day he grows up and asks me what his real father is.
LOL wow its been 11 years? i remeber it like ti was yesterday playing Phantasy Star Online onver the internet. To this day it still one of my alltime fav games. Dreamcast was a better system then the original xbox by far but yet it die a early death. Money+hype is what sells crap these days =/
I have bass fishing with the reel too. I have 18 consoles in my collection, there alot more out there that need a home. Sadly my wife wont let me have all of them but good luck to everyone!
My original still sits, waiting to be activated, under the LCD. It can no longer scan my incoming mail, since I upgraded from dial up.
The others sleep, hoping for some day when the original will parish from age...so that they may see the light of day. One still wears the tatoo of being my gaming machine in the lunch room of a former work place.
Oh...and Atari 2600 has gone Retro. Those are now sought after for great prices.
@vintagevideogamegeek I would make a video, but I already have a Sega Dreamcast, but I do not have an AV cable for one though. Not only that, but I do not have the tools required to make one.
@MysticArksRevenge E-Bay! Oh, and it is worth noting that DreamCast can support a computer monitor...just by changing the cord! (Is that called Super VGA?) No hardware upgrades! Although, not all of it's library can do that higher resolution, as I found out.
Oh, cool! I just realized that my HDTV supports S-VGA, too. That's just like DC can do semi-HDTV! Awesome!
Great job on this video! It's awesome that you are doing a contest like this. I hope to be able to enter since I have been wanting to get a Dreamcast for years as I have regretted the day 9 years ago when I traded mine in. Hopefully my camera cooperates since I have been having issues with it lately.
@stevejobs101 Yes. A vintage NES is pretty pricey. But, China has been releasing some decent 8-bit knock off systems, lately. And, some of them are pretty decent at a budget basement price. I even own one that is an NES portable! Like an oversized Game Boy Color...only it has a gigantic NES cartridge sticking out from the top! Some even do 16 bit. Imagine that. A multi-console that does NES/S-NES/Genesis in one tiny, cheap package!
I have recently saved a n64 but the picture doesn't come in.
please help!
