If you have trained under Sensei Yano,You are very lucky.He is a very hard JKA MAster and was extremely strick in his teaching.Ask the people who went to Japan in the early days.They will have many stories to tell about Sensei Yano.I believe Yahara Sensei also trained under him.

by doyng this a lot of times its good in mma because it gives you the reflexe to punch acurate and the right way most of even boxers punch this way if you watch in knockouts one hand is on the head the other where the belt is !!!

the rest of the students should quit and join kung fu or something for show. karate is for ppl who actually want to try hard and learn it.

Language problems?

The students are missing the point for some reason. The instructor is punching with his entire body weight. He shifts his weight forward into every punch. He literally "drops" his hips (center of gravity) into the punch.

Most of the students are arm punching. Some rotate their hips. The black student was the only one who understood the concept of shifting weight. Maybe it's because he's a natural southpaw?

Yano has a sweet reverse punc h to say the least.....the comment by RCO1 seems to be from a teenager, prob from Oshimas group who believes they charge the least amount of money for Gichins karate(even though i paid alot less then them when i did train with them)

This is good old school training. There is a reason they trained like this over the years.

@ChimpChop I think the younger one was singled out because he is actually trying. The instructor took the time to correct him unlike others whom he ignored because they do not care.
