@goatbut29 Workers want unions,not everyone but enough.Nurses union,most goverment jobs,teachers,civil servants,goverment layers,rcmp workers,most police forces,carpenters,millwrights,­mill workers.People like fair wages.Your not to stupid if your in a union.You still have to work hard at your job to move up. Everytime you go the hospital a union worker is helping you.most bridges you drive over have been made by union workers.

These nurses, police, and others cant do the 'secret ballot' cos then the union wouldnt be able to intimidate them. No, the union want to KNOW who said NO so they know whos house to show up at, or whos kids' school. Union = United ... Kind of like UNITED States .... We are united for a reason. That is because if we don't we get taken advantage of by greedy Contractors.(Not all contractors are greedy)... Would a "Contractor" do a job without a contract? absolutely not! He/She would be crazy to do that. Nor should a Skilled Craftperson work on a project without an agreement! That is why workers united like Project Labor Agreements.

Good for the Union! The contractor is getting paid plenty of money for the project, there is no reason the contractor shouldnt hire union workers and pay good wages and beneifts! FUCK FOX NEWS AND NON UNION SCABS!
