  • Hey a quick question. When did it stop hurting real bad to cough and sneeze. Im only 2 1/2 weeks post op and boy does it hurt. The pillow thing does not work.

  • Hi Becky,

I am one week post op today (feels like a month!) I had this done in Germany since I am a military wife. I found out they don't believe in pain killers! Sooo, I have been "doped" up on Ibuprofen! THey took my drains out after 3 days. Hope they did the right thing. I have a doc appointment tomorrow! We'll see!

  • Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm pleased that journey also imcreased your appreciatiom of yourself by building your confidence.

  • Thank you thank you thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. I just had my surgery done a few days ago and I've been following your videos religiously for over a year until you posted your last one. Today I found myself looking at your old videos again for support. I'm going in for my first post-op meeting with my surgeon in two days and am excited to see my new tummy. Thank you once again. I can't say it enough!

  • I had mine done 4 weeks ago & I have to wear a corset. I was wondering if you wore one?

  • @HowToTommy no, I didn't wear a corset -- but I wore a compression garment . . .maybe the same thing?

  • Oh my gosh that looks painful, how did you do it to sleep with them without smashing them?

  • @kimaam It was tough! But you adjust to them. :)

  • so when were you able to start working out?? and what pain killers worked the best, I go for mine the 20th of this month

  • @rwatrych they say 6 weeks -- but I waited 6 months. Good luck to you!

  • hi becky, did u have problem with breathing from the muscle tightening after surgery?

  • @charonda36 No, I didn't have this problem. I have heard this happens though. Make sure to communicate with your surgeon about this -- it should get better with time though -- once your body adapts to the repair.

  • i remember those drain tubes from gastric bypass they hurt when u move

  • YES! Those drain sites sure do hurt. I was glad to get rid of them. :)

  • when they pull them out it feels they are taking ur guts out it feels so weird lol it didnt hurt..but it felt so weird lol....i felt such a releaf when i walked with out them...I really really really whant a tummy tuck....but i bet its gonna be really expensive for me....cuz i shure gots lots of skin everywhere... i can just fold my tummy

  • Oh, I do hope you are able to get the surgery. I know how difficult it is to live with all that extra skin. Good luck!

  • @beckrsr Did you have to wear a corset? I am 4weeks post-op and
