  • I'm glad he didn't jump on the Costello bandwagon, but I think his critique is still a little bit modest. He didn't mention the unnecessary rises in inflation through investments in tax cuts and middle class welfare which lead to 10 consecutive interest rate rises and his inability to solve our productivity problems. (One statistic the Liberal Party will never mention is that in 95/96 we had 2.5% productivity and in 06/07 it was around 1.0% which needs to be addressed by the current government)

  • So glad Stephen Long didn't jump on the Peter Costello bandwagon.

  • He just told it like it is .

And i could not agree more, costello had good times handed to him he didnt have to do anything and in the first 4 years they didnt do anything but that is where the growth started.

Liberals have been lucky to govern in times of world growth.

  • That was a good video, I could not have said things better myself.

However there is one thing that I would like to point out:

Stephen Long said that Costello's demonization of public debt was "simplistic economic analysis", I disagree. It ws not economic analyis at all, instead it was pure ideology.

"Economic rationalism", or neoliberalism, trys to disguise itself as an objective social science, but instead it is clearly based on political ideology at its core. Costello's failure proves it.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA
