i have a 94 t/a did valve job and changed cap and rotor,now my car is kicking back when starting and timing is too advance or off,did your job fix the problem ?
@ghostle :) , It is now possible to swap the LS1 ignition system to the LT1 and the LT4 engine. It`s the only way to do away with the 'Opticrap".It is believe jeg`s or summit sells the item required for the conversion.
i did see the camshaft key.thank you so much . i just baught a 94 vette and the guy didnt tell me the water pump was bad and about the bad miss,i messed up but now i can fix thes items because of this vidio.the mechanics i talked to said 9 hrs labor on the distrib.over 600 just on labor for the distrib not including the pump.thank you so much.
You miss the Camshaft key way lining thing 7:01 on the video real. You're holding the Opti Spark to high and your camera is not catching it. I was looking for a video like this because i shorted my Opti Spark out. This Major important detail is not showing on your Video... Bummer!!!!!!!!!!

thanks,but if my cap is not fully kissed together would that cause my car to run that bad ?

@sarahandnemo yep. the cap must be fully seated,heat will cause the cap to flex,making the cap electrode pull away from the rotor alignment.

@sarahandnemo the valves might need adjusting, the ignition timing is ECM control and is non physical adjusting.

@OneGoodBrotha Just skip to 7:25, you can see it there. Its is easy to tell which hole is for the dowel pin, it is bigger than the other two.
