As a submarine captain, I tried to outrun the destroyers by travelling on surface of the water. That way my sub was as fast as the destroyer. Though you had to be lucky not to face an accomplished adversary on the destroyer. My escape could take for minutes.

Hunting the subs was fun if you had a torpedo bomber. Worked usually well if they were damaged. Then you just one-shot with a torpedo as long there still was a trace of them on the surface.

There are a lot opf differences between SP and MP versions of maps, submarines being one. Another example is that there is a B17 bomber in an abandoned airfield on one map (Gazala I think it was called?)

No submarines are always in the game, but you don't find it in campaign or bot matches, because bots can't submarines.

@rasfi1 For me the sub is one of the amazing vehicles of bf1942 , when i look at the fleet in battle of midway , The ships need each other to survive . The subs hunt for the carrier and battleships , the sub is hunted by the enemy sub and destroyers .

@rasfi1 ok then tell me what other game like BF1942 has a submarine? there is no other and plus how many times have you died by a sub? its RARE if you do because they are slow and easy to kill. next actually think about what your saying before you post it. and explain how the sub makes the game suck?

@Eaglejoc I think he means it's cheap when u play online with it because when u try to piolet a boat u get shot out of the water. Plus it kinda dones damper the game a bit because you would finish the map in like 10 minutes
