Troy 393 tackles, 122 assists, 8.0 sacks, 71 pass defebses, 27 ints, 4 tds, 328 return yards. This is after Reed's four years in the league as a Strong Safety. He did what Troy does only better, and than went on to become a Hall of Fame Free Safety. The only one who has dick on his face is you.

@MrMilanokas Uhhhhhhhh....Reed leads Troy in every category a person playing the safety position has. Tackles, interceptions, forced fumbles, deflections, interception yards, defensive touchdowns..Ed even beat Troy at his own game, because in the four years that Reed played Strong Safety he STILL beats out Troy by a large margin in his production. Face it, faggy Steelers fan, Troy is subpar when put up against Reed. Against other safeties, Troy is great..but against Reed he's nothing.

@steel5w He just knows where to be when he has to be there. And yeah, I've never seen anyone return picks the way he does. I've seen guys that can make the acrobatic ones and the guys that can run, but haven't seen a combination of the two like in Ed Reed.

@tiatrips Yeah, i guess he does. Don't forget about Polamalu when it comes to acrobatic picks. He has some of the best you will ever see. I have a respect for both these players, but can't trully say which is currently playing better. One thing is for sure: Ed is the best FS and Troy is the best SS in the game today. And those two in the same secondary would make any offense afraid to take the field!

@steel5w No argument there about Reed and Polamalu in the same secondary. And complete agreement about who is the better at their respective position. Everyone usually says the best safety, but not many think of the fact that there are two types of safeties, and those two are the tops right now, bar none. And I've seen a lot of Polamalu's picks and they are acrobatic, but I don't see him finding holes to return them in like I see with Reed. Reed gets the ball and he's gone.

@tiatrips Troy has had his moments when returning, but Ed clearly holds the trump in that case. I'm just looking forward to seeing both these guys in the hall. At this point: Ed- definately and Troy- most likely. It's fitting that they are on the two best defenses of the decade and in the same division. I think the PIT-BAL rivalry is as good as it gets!
