I was an usher at Neyland for 6 years and it amazed me every time I went to a game. There are larger stadiums but the overall atmosphere and the huge crowds combined was unbelievable. I always enjoyed meeting visiting fans as well. Some nice folks from many different schools. If you attended, hope we made you feel at home.

i hate both UT and UGA as I am a Gator fan, but I will have to say this is one hell of a nice video. I went into Neyland Stadium about 5 yrs ago, totally empty, and man that is a huge place. Gameday must be something else there. Great Video!

Having traveled down to Georgia and Auburn, I must say that Neyland is about 20 times louder than Jordan-Hare and Sanford Stadiums. Maybe not every week, because every stadium has it's down weeks (or in this case a year, RIP 2008 Vols), but Neyland at it's peak (2006 Cal, Florida, and LSU games, and 2007 South Carolina), is so much better than any other stadium. Only one that I have seen match it is the Swamp, and that's mostly because the stands are right on top of the field.

ahh, the '07 South Carolina game... didn't leave the student section for 45 minutes after the game. Just stayed and sang Rocky Top at the top of my lungs until the band called it quits. a GREAT night in Neyland!

DKR at texas will never hold 112 thousand...That may be the capacity, but it wont fill up. And that stadium is not as loud as A&M, KSU, Nebraska, or OU.

I've been to a game here.. this stadium is way over rated. it's not loud at all. Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia, and Auburn are all way louder than this stadium. My high school stadium is louder than this stadium.

DKR at Texas is a much better stadium, it holds 98K right now, but when they've completed the full expansion sometime within the next few years it will hold 112K! That would be the most in the country.

No lol, NASCAR stadiums are way bigger, and there are 2 college football stadiums bigger, Penn State or Michigan or Ohio State ... 2 of those 3 I don't really know. Tennessee's third biggest.
