people keep commenting on various videos that gary clark sounds like hendrix or that he is the next hendrix. no. this guy is great, but his solos are nowhere near hendrix. people are just saying this beacuse he's black.

@eagleflyy He isn't Hendrix, like you sad... he is GARY CLARK JR. ... different style, no need to compare him with anybody ... and the fact that he is GCJ is quite enough for me and for many others. :) His music is awesome!

Its so hard to be orig. when your doin a hendrix, clapton, page, beck or any of those guys, gary moore, robbin ford, ya know, any of the great blues plyers of today, alls you can do really is try an play in the same vein as them! No matter what riffs you do/try, its already been played! So it has to come from the heart and then ya can't go wrond....period! johnnyguit12

No eric clapton, but I don't think he needs to attest to that. Gary brings an R&B influence to the blues. Labeling it contemporary Blues is a stretch but nevertheless Iit is 'mellifluous' to my ears.

I'm a huge Beatles fan, and Gary is quickly becoming one of my favorite musicians, so this was outstannding for me. A great cover of a great song, and I don't like many Beatles covers.
