  • That one fill is such an Akira Jimbo thing to do, lol.

  • Hi Mike!

It's Ian here. Thanks for putting up this video, very educational in a down-to-earth way.

    All The Best,

  • Helpful, thanks. What's up with the vintage 1940's sounding audio track, aaaaahhhhh.

  • Wow, your lessons are great! 8 years playing and I never found a decent use for paradiddle-diddles until now.

  • I use this pattern very often, but changed the accents a bit.

Its like RLLRRL with accents on the first and last one (RllrrL).

Sounds awesome when played fast ;)

  • @Groltak then you're just using Pug a da's, and inverted pug a da's. Sorry don't how it's supposed to be spelled.

  • Great lesson!

  • Love this> It's a good tool to help you shine as a drummer.

  • tanks i start to practice and it helps me a lot you make it easy to learn.

  • are there any rebounds when speeding up?

  • @MrYeswecan14 there are always rebounds, but t they're shorter on the upstroke.

  • Thanks, I felt newbie on drums, and this is great.

  • Very cool. 'Been practicing this a lot myself and I'm quickly realizing that you get get a lot of milage out of this rudiment.

  • Now THAT's a mother fucking drum kit. *sigh*

  • Great video mate thanks

  • Try this out:

RLRRLL RLRRLL RLRR LRLLRR LRLLRR LRLL RLRRLL RLRRLL RLRR LRLLRR LRLLRR LRLL RLRRLL RLRR LRLLRR LRLL RLRRLL RLRR LRLLRR LRLL RLRRL RLL RLL RLRR LRR LRRL LL RLRRLL RLRRLL R.

Then get back to me. Have fun!

  • @MrMICHAELCABOOSE lol yeah, i know what you mean. left hand lead paradiddle diddles are a tough one

  • @MrMICHAELCABOOSE The "Shirley Murphy" (LRRLLL) That you placed right before the last two "Paradiddle-Diddles" gave the lick a Nice Feel.. Real Cool Man.. It Has a Grid basis, though I really like that. It sounds neat, feels fun, and could be used to bust chops and exercise concise control. Much Props!

  • @MrMICHAELCABOOSE i do this exercise quite often, it helps to make both hands indipendant and you also get to swith the feel a little away from a six stroke roll to a clear accented paraddidle diddle.

  • Dude Im from Vancouver~!
